Imzadi, that is just beautiful. If you manage to harvest any seeds from it, I would love to have a couple. I could trade you a couple of the ones that I have.

Imza- baby that thing and get as many seeds as you can!! LOL It's wonderful!!!!! It might take you a few tries but you could have a good trade going with it!
If you ever get surplus seeds- please let me know. I might have something in my garden you'd want in trade.

i saw another bud come up on it today so i will see if i can get another pic of the next one. this one was so big and silky looking. the folige has a red tinge to it which makes it look neat also.

keeping fingers and toes crossed for seeds.

I've heard that there is a pink Moonflower, not Ipomoea alba, but something else like it. I think that must be it. It's lovely.

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

I have a pink moonflower- just never seen it bloom. Hmm- if thats what it looks like I am so hooked! LOL
That is such a beautiful flower Imza. :-)

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

no its not a moonflower as the pink moonflower opens at night to which is ipomoea machrorhiza . i believe this one blooms at night just like the regular moonflower.

i still havent gotten an id on this so am going to put it on the id forum.

this one is open in the mornings just like a regular morning glory. its just huge in size.

the other bloom today looks just like the above one. they both had the shimmery look to them. i hope it seeds as i want more of this one.

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Imza- I am hanging onto my chair in wait! I pray you get lots of seeds!!! Please keep us DGers in mind if you get tons of seed... hehe.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

I have the 'red' aka pink moonflower. The blooms are totally different. Actually quite small and darker veining.

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

trust me i am hanging onto my chair too in hopes of seeds.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Sure hope you find out the name of it, because it is so pretty. Of course, you will have to get a gazillion seeds from yours, so that we can all grow this beauty. LOL
