Delphiniumdiva, I bet she would love what you did to her yard. So pretty! Is that a big yellow brug along the back fence? I can't quite make it out. It looks like the people behind you have one of the same plant also.
I know I've said it before but I LOVE that tropical look! I just don't think I'd have the energy or room to dig em up and over winter. Maybe I should look into buying hardy bananas....
Did you find out how to over winter the Medinilla yet? Would an electric blanket on a timer help? You can buy used ones pretty cheap. Maybe if you put it underneath the plant and one of those reptile lamps that produce heat positioned overhead, it might keep it warm enough?
