Little white crystal like lumps on my Eucalyptus tree

I've looked in all my gardening books and can't find anything like this mentioned. I have no idea what it is or if it's harmful. Looks like salt crystals, and we found a tiny white spider on the leaf also. He may have just been wandering by as we only saw one. Does anyone know what is is and what I should do about it? The entire tree is loaded with these 'crystals'. I would be grateful for what ever help I can get. Thanks

My pleasure :-) Skunks aye....use to have baby skunks as pets (de-gland)....so much like cats it's incredible.
