Is the Luminosa Tree the large tree in your garden or GH?? I LOVE that tree and the flower is very beautiful and I'll bet it's just as fragrant, huh??

Hi Monika!! Is the Luminosa Tree the large tree in your garden or GH, which you posted recently?? If not, what kind of flower does your 7 year old tree have??? I LOVE the tree, even without knowing what kind of flowers it produces. SherryLike

Thank you all for your nice comments. It has a real bright color now but the inside of the flower is very glossy and the camera doesnt reproduce the colors correctly.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Monika, what a beautiful color and such a great and fitting name.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Is this one available in the U.S.? I had an uncle that owned this huge beach pavilion on the Atlantic coast of NC and it was called the Lumina. Now I see this word or a variation of this word everywhere, including the name of a car. I would love to get my hands on this plant.....

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Monika, I love the name of Luminosa....it really fits! It is a beautiful brug!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I named it after its luminous color. Luminosa is not available in the US.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Doesn't this kind of remind you of Shirley's Champagne Fizz? now that it's changed colors.(Shirley's changed colors, not Monika's)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

The picture of Champagne Fizz is mine, but the seed was not mine. I've tried to get it changed to read that on a picture posted in a gallery. Haven't checked lately to see if it has been corrected. Now, after watching it bloom this year, the name is not appropriate. Another reason to watch a seedling for two years and not get hasty about sending them out. Guess I shouldn't have named it so quickly.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It does Susie.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

This has always been one of my favorites for color. I love the dark orange. I think I even like it better than the dark pinks.
