These are the first flowers of a cutting, I took from the old Luminosa Tree.
Luminosa's first flowers
Is the Luminosa Tree the large tree in your garden or GH?? I LOVE that tree and the flower is very beautiful and I'll bet it's just as fragrant, huh??
It sure is a beauty Monika.
Oh my, such a beautiful bloom!
What color would you call that lovely bloom monika? Orange or apricot or melon?
The color is a golden yellow. The color may change into carrot red in the summer.
very beautiful Monika. I like the way it hangs and the shape of the plant
I love the shape and color of this flower.
One of my absolute favorites. I love everything about this and will never forget the picture of her that you posted a year or two ago with the huge flush of blooms. Awesome.
This has always been one of my Monika favorites too. I wish we had this one in the US. I love the rich color... it glows!
Very pretty!!
Yummy!
And you pick the neatest names!
I remember that picture Shirley, it was right near the entrance to the gh. It really stood out.
I found this one. http://davesgarden.com/fp.php?pid=24607 This is a great picture of Luminosa.
WOW brugie...it sure is a great photo ! It sure does stand out!!!
Well gee....... hardly any blooms! It sure is a beauty.
Hi Monika!! Is the Luminosa Tree the large tree in your garden or GH, which you posted recently?? If not, what kind of flower does your 7 year old tree have??? I LOVE the tree, even without knowing what kind of flowers it produces. SherryLike
Great Bloom Monika, very nice color,I will love to see it turn Carrot color.
Beautiful bloom, Monika.
Shirley, thanks for looking the picture up for us. It's beautiful.
I love it ... it is beautiful Monika.
Thank you all for your nice comments. It has a real bright color now but the inside of the flower is very glossy and the camera doesnt reproduce the colors correctly.
Incredible color Monika. I really like her.
I love that color!!!
I have seedlings, of which Luminosa is the mother plant. I hope, she produces nice colored offspring.
What a beautiful color....
It's very pretty! I'm looking forward to seeing it's summer colors.
Monika, just beautiful!
I love this one, the color is just so vivid looking. I can't wait to see your seedlings in bloom!
Very lovely Monika, and of course I love a wonderful fragrance coming from a brug. I have no doubt that you will get some great offsprings from her.
What a great name for this one!
Monika, what a beautiful color and such a great and fitting name.
Brugie, thanks for locating the tree photo for us, just stunning. Donna
Is this one available in the U.S.? I had an uncle that owned this huge beach pavilion on the Atlantic coast of NC and it was called the Lumina. Now I see this word or a variation of this word everywhere, including the name of a car. I would love to get my hands on this plant.....
Monika, I love the name of Luminosa....it really fits! It is a beautiful brug!
I named it after its luminous color. Luminosa is not available in the US.
Doesn't this kind of remind you of Shirley's Champagne Fizz? now that it's changed colors.(Shirley's changed colors, not Monika's)
The picture of Champagne Fizz is mine, but the seed was not mine. I've tried to get it changed to read that on a picture posted in a gallery. Haven't checked lately to see if it has been corrected. Now, after watching it bloom this year, the name is not appropriate. Another reason to watch a seedling for two years and not get hasty about sending them out. Guess I shouldn't have named it so quickly.
It does Susie.
This has always been one of my favorites for color. I love the dark orange. I think I even like it better than the dark pinks.
