Found some of these on my squash.

Looks like a Squash bug to me...........................
http://insects.tamu.edu/extension/answers/identify/suck/squash_bug.html
If it's on your squash chances are it is a squash bug (or stink bug). Get rid of it! And check for eggs on the leaves and under the leaves. Squish 'em!
There is a look-alike bug similar to a squash bug but has spines on its shoulders (Spined soldier bug)...those are beneficial so don't kill those.
OK, thanks for the info.
Yep...dats dem boogers! Good going!
I think this looks like Anasa tristis,
Does anyone see anything else that is similar?
I agree with Anasa tristis
Ken
Good advice, Horseshoe. Always look for those eggs. Saves you a lot of trouble later.
BTW, Horseshoe - I met you at the Texas RU in College Station this spring. Anyway, I met your picture! Howdy!

I think it's a California Laurel Borer, Rosalia funebris
I think he belongs in Bug Files, maybe he'll pose for more pictures
He's a right handsome fella, isn't he?
A round-necked longhorn beetle. Looks like Rosalia funebris, Family Cerambycidae, in the Cerambycinae subfamily. It is a tree borer - the Banded Alder Borer. Pretty, but not nice.

If you have a new insect that you would like ID'd, it is best to start your own thread. More people will see it that way, and will get a quicker ID.
