Ahhhhh She sure has some pretty ones. Is the smell great?? Im almost positive this is the one I saw at a nursery. The leaves look wonderful. Are they soft? They sure look soft. When I went back to the nursery, because I thought this blooming tree was 20.00, it turned out to be 40.00, I asked one of the kids who worked there if I could have a tiny little growth of it, he said well if it fell on the ground, and I sweep it up you can, but thats the only way. I was disappointed. :o(
Next thing I knew he flicked it off with his thumb, ran and got a broom and said here ya go. LOL Bless his heart. So now I have a 2 inch GREEN little (I dont even know what to call it) rooting in water. So far so good. Sorry to get so long winded.

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

Sure is a nice one.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Great Shelly!! I hope it is Species,I love the smell of her,the blooms are thick, they do brown, but I think most of that is because they are open for a week or more.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

WOW! LOL then I supose they are entitled to the brown huh? :o)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I am not complaining, the only one I have that is browning is the one I cut to pollinate, and I wrapped it with tape.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Root, great photo, and a very pretty dropped skirt. Mine does not look like that, so I am still wondering what i have. It is very double looking but the skirt only drops about 1 1/2. Does anyone have any idea of what i would be. i bought it from Logees labeled Shredded White, but it isn't that either. It is quite fragrant. Donna

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Not much going on here,I have a couple of buds I am watching.

Whitewater, WI

Beautiful, Root :)

Thank you for posting that one while I wait for mine to bloom.

I needed it to hold me over....lol

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey Root, no fair!! Do you know how many Species I have had trying to achieve that look? None of mine behave, how did you get that one to drop each skirt? I am so JEALOUS!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I'm still waiting for mine to bloom. I hope it looks as good as yours Root.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

That is beautiful Root. Love the looks of P & C.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Ther is a trick to it Kell, you have to stare at the bud every day a hundred times a day!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL Well, I guess I'd better get out there and get busy starring at it.

Auburn, WA(Zone 8b)

Wow. Mine doesn't do that either. The skirts drop an inch or so which is at least better than CDW which generally doesn't drop at all for me. Did you get yours from Logee's?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes it was from Logees originally.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Species is very pretty. The picture is great rooty! I hope, she will look the same for me.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Hey Rooooooooooooooty!!! Did ya miss me??? LOL I feel like I've been on suspension or 'grounded' from my fun time on DG. DH and I own 2 different auto auctions. One in our hometown and one 80 miles west of here. We are in the process (the last 3 weeks) of selling the one 80 miles west and I've been out of town and so darned busy that I haven't had the chance to get online! As a matter of fact, I just got home about 2 hours ago and started watering! Luckily we've had plenty of rain this past week that I didn't have to worry too much! Now I need to concentrate of fertilizing everything!!! BTW....your deck is marvelous!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks ,I am glad you caught it,yes we missed you, always good to have our big family whole! Now pump some food to those babies!!!LOL!!!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Wow....Rooty, your Species is just beautiful, but I just happened on Kell's thread with her new 'dark pink' or RED seedling! Is that fair??? Should she get to enjoy that all to herself??? LOL Isn't is great? My heart is still racing and I'm jumping around for her and Susie! Dang.....did you talk her out of a cutting yet? LOL

...I've got to get my life together so I can get back in the DG groove and enjoy all these pics and threads!!! I've missed this place!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes Brinda, the Brug world got Rocked with that one!!
See what you miss with just a few days away,LOL!!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Root, she sure is a beauty and I agree those tendrils are gorgeous. I think I have too much heat here for her to be pretty for me. Can't wait to see your other blooms and again, I must say that your back yard and new sun porch are fantastic. I am still amazed at the transition and all the hard work that you did. I hope you are resting some and enjoying the view.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

...your deck, rooty...I looked and looked at the photos & I don't see any deck! What am I missing?

Like your species ! ...the dbl white I was questioning, I don't think is a species...not curely enough! plus skirt doesn't drop! Nice mild, sweet fragrance though!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)
