honeybee, janetos, Loree, "my sister" and I went to Mobile Botanical garden sell today they had there -GINGER JAMBOREE I was a little impressed. I wish they had a better selection of gingers.....THEY were suppose to watch me and make sure that I didn't go hay wire on the plants... but it did happen...and janet let me walk out with 2 extra pots of each costus..... I thought they were high on there things there....but better price than NO city park....

I did a little better between $69-65, got a lot of the sames varieties, some of the ones he got, I bought last year, like costus pictus, variegated costus specious, globba wintiii, dancing ladies. I'm really pleased with the costus amazonica, and the zingziber neflectum aka jewel pagoda.
Hate I missed out on the step ladder costus, though.

well when we go to new orleans city park-if we are still going- we want have to worrie about me if they have the same thing.....rylaff, if you want to meet me where I live we can ride over there together. I don't know where niceville is. I aslo have a bunch of cannas you can go through when you get here...I live right next to p'cola/bulah the al/fl line. on 90. I want buy a bunch of stuff... I don't work two jobs anymore so i don't have the cash flow.... I use too...=(

I think we are trying to get there a hour early for traffic, and to be first...it came in handy for the MBG sale. New Oleans you have to pay 5.00 to get into the garden... then pay for the plants.... which I don't think is right.
I think we left here at 5:30-6.00 and we were way ahead of time and we didn't have to rush. we got lost once, waited on bonnie and toni , stoped at a rest area. almost stoped at a yard sale.... and made it there a hour early... then walked around for a little bit... it was fun...bonnie, toni, loree and i was 1-10 in the door "we got a free shirt" janet left something in the car. janet had to get something out of the car....so she was like 3000th.

I will check my schedule when I get to work tomorrow to see if I work that weekend or not (sometimes being a nurse stinks. Lots of weekends).

But I am very happy with everything. Larry, I can remember which plant, don't worried I'll get one later.

I would love it if you'd come!! We have a blast on these little trips!! Larry, this sale is a little different than the spring sale. It is more like the MBG sale. No entry fee, it is located at the Pelican Greenhouse and it is a sale of the NOBG private colections. Plants go really fast. I have been thinking about it and sure, it is worth it to go, what was I thinking when I said that?? It has been 2 years since I have been to this sale and maybe they will have some new things they didn't have before. They get most of their gingers from Stokes tropicals.
yes rylaff my mom is a nurse and it does stink... but if you can make it it will be cool bonnie told me that there is a sale in mobile in oct....if you can't make NO maybe you can make mobile... it is always a blast... raining got to go...
