Does anyone know what kind of goldfish I have?
(Besides my plain ones ;)

One more.
So proud of my clear pond--it's almost too clear now, lol!

You've got some pretty fish. Love the multi-colored ones and the fantails.
Your waterlily should be opening up anyday now.
Now tell us how you got your water so clear.

Well, since y'all seem to try anything, I did too. I gave it just 1 dose of 'AlgaeFix'. I used this filter but added a liner sheet from those disposeable puppy training sheets in the top section (with the other 2 filter pads), and put about 3 pairs of pantyhose (laid out flat) in the bottom with the large gravel I use for sinking it. It sure caught a lot of junk, I cleaned it every day for the first few days, and did a couple partial water changes.

Other than that, I do have some plants (but not near having the 3/4 covered--more like 1/4. And just added the pond block stuff the other day, although I read it shouldn't be used with plants?

Now, how do you hide all the plant roots?

Viola bird I have koi in my pond don,t know if that is the name of them all are not , also have Shubunkin's I think that's the way to spell it , the trouble is I can't tell the difference because they look just like my koi under water. They are still small about 2 inches or longer and growing fast pretty soon I really wont be able to tell them apart. I also have blue koi and yellow which are my favarites. And the big gigantic gold fish which I was told was a koi. Would like to know if these have different names can any one help thanks beverly.

Viola, there you are! Great to hear from you and see that pond is well! I sure am glad that you sound happy with the pond instead of frustrated. Nice looking fish. Looks like 2 shubunkins, 1 comet, and 1 fantail. There's an oriental name for red and white fantail, but I can't remember it just now.

Hi BJ, thanks for the compliments! I'm using my new Nikon CoolPix 2200, and I just love it! And loved the price too ;)
It's so much easier to use than the pricey Canon I had, twice as light and compact, I highly recommend it!

Hi Sylvia, yes, I'm very happy now. It really was confusing and frustrating getting it all together, but worth it!
