Hello I have fresh lily seed that my mom gave me and I don't know what to do with them.
Do I let them dry before I plant them or do I plant them fresh?
Mom said she never plants them she just lets them fall and do what ever they will do.
So I need to know what is the best way to plant them dry or fresh

I'm not sure... so this is the best that I can tell you. This is what I did and have gotten great results!
Remove seed from pod. Fill 1/4 of sandwich bag with good seed compost and put seeds on top. Cover about 1/2 an inch with seed compost. Scatter some cleaned (wash them like lettuce and let dry) leaves ontop. Tree leaves work well, I used oak. Seal bag. Leave the bag outside on a sheltered porch or in an unheated garage. In the spring, you should see sprouts. Or you can put the bag in the frig for about four weeks.
They don't sprout all at one time so as I see them sprout, I pot them up.
