But just a picture of a pretty daylily that I have blooming. This is called Nell Dean and is and intro from Inman Joiner of Joiner Daylily Gardens in Savannah,GA
I really love his double blooming ones and he does have some great ones.
Not A brug
Ooo! That is pretty. I have never been much of a fan for the doubles but that's a beauty!
That is Gorgeous david!!
Beautiful. Pretty color.
I like them all but have a soft spot for the double ones, especially many of Mr Joiners and if you could see a lot of them you'd know why. I also like a lot of Elizabeth Salters mini flowring ones. She has some with really neat patterned eye zones and you would believe the coloration on some of hers.
So how many daylilies do you still have, David?
Very pretty, David.
Poppy of the 1000 ( one thousand) + varieties that I used to have,I only have around 25-30 give or take one or two left.
After my yard was on regional tour for the daylily clubs of N.C. and S.C. in June of 99' I just gave up on them.
I had been growing them for almost 7 years at that point and in December of 98' I developed blood clots in my left arm and that was extremely painful and for the amount of work I had to do in order to get ready for that tour, and the amount of pain I dealt with in doing so,caused me to just loose interest in them. After that they just sat for 2 years not being taken care of properly so I sold all but a handfull.

Wow, that was a lot of Daylilies to take care of. I know they were beautiful.
Beautiful David. I'm just toying with the idea of getting started with a few again. Tore all of mine out about three or four years ago and now I'm getting tired of having to plant stuff every year....so it's time for perennials again. I'll bet your yard was awesome with that many lilies in bloom.
Awesome. I have never seen a double
How gorgeous! I've never seen a double before either.
MEOW! I love them! :) (so does my cat - he loves flowers - he won't go outside during the winter, but as soon as I have things blooming outside, he's in the garden "sniffing" them all - he's so cute).
Awesome... thank you for sharing that with us. I love daylilies...

Wow! How pretty! I like that one alot!
David it looks so big and fat. Is it a rebloomer? WOW, 1000? Amazing! How is your yard doing? I hope all better.
David, A lovely lily. I didn't realize day lilies came in doubles. If they weren't too much trouble I'd have some, but with the brugs, it's all I can handle. Linda
David, haven't seen you around much lately, but then I haven't had time to turn on the computer very much. Your Nell Dean is very pretty. I have about 200 daylilies and they are just beginning. Have a few doubles, don't think I have any of Joiners doubles. I planted my 2003 seedlings out in garden yesterday, 73 of them, should have been in a month ago.
I am really enjoying all the brug cuttings you sent me last fall. a couple have bloomed and see buds on others. Donna
Donna do an online search for Joiner daylily gardens and request a catalog. You won't believe some of his flowers. And if you really want to see some lookers do a search for daylily world in Florida. I'll see if I can find a link and post it here.
http://www.daylilyworld.com/ click on this link and check out some of the flowers these 2 guys produce. I've met both of them in person and some of their flowers will knock more than your socks off!!
Just be ready to spend some cash when you buy from them though.
this is a link to Joiners.http://www.joinergardens.com/index.htm
It is beautiful and I really like the color. You did a good job of selecting the keepers out of a thousand of more. I know your yard must be beautiful with all the variety of plants that you have and of course, your brugs that are doing so well now.
Great lilies. Think I'd like seeing them and brugs blooming at the same time in the same bed.
I'd like that too, now if only my brugs were blooming. The Day lilies are almost done.
Beautiful lilies Sylvia.
Thanks, Shirley. I love them, because they are so carefree here.
Beautiful, I love a dependable bloomer.
Beautiful Sylvia. That's why I love them too. No fussing with sprays and fertilizers and best of all... they can fend for themselves in the winter! These brugs are running me ragged. I'm thinking I should just stick daylilies and let the southern growers have the brugs ;)
Mini, are there everblooming day lilies, like, are there any that are good bloomers all summer, in hot, dry locations?????? TIA!!
HO HUM, when I get moved to my permenant home I am going to have a yard full of these too....and any of the ones I have seen would be welcomed....
These are just toooo pretty. :o)
