My Butterfly bushes all have one or two branches wilting. I see a little orange dot on a leaf or two but not necessarily the limb with the wilt. What do you think? They don't get rust do they?
It has been wet.
Thank you, Abigail
Butterfly bushes wilting
Some of mine do that too from time to time....only possible cause I have found is small breaks in the branchs probably from wind or the dogs.
Just snip them off......doesn't hurt the bush at all.
Thank you.... I was thinking I was going to have to dust them. Mighty big job....LOL
Abigail
Nah, just snip of the offending branches and see if that doesn't solve the problem.
Good luck :-)
How long have these been in the ground? Mine wilted all the time the first year, even after torrential rains... and they survived.
Interestingly enough, they are all 4 & 5 years old. I must not have noticed them before.
My young red one, shows no signs of wilt at all.
Did you ever get moved Darius?
Thanks for asking... I'm moved out of my house, but just into limbo, LOL.
sounds like you're bummed, but just look for the opportunity it will present...
Good Luck
