I have tried to propagate californian popies for many years with poor results ,always by root cuttings in winter.
Has any body know the key to succes.
Romneyia coulteri propagation
Ostensibly you can take root cuttings in the winter (Dec - Feb), but I have never done it. (I, unfortunately, don't have one.)
Mike
thanks for your reply cinemike, as now we are in winter i will try again
i wish you could see the ones i have ,they do not care about the weather not even 40cm of snow ,excess of water or no water at all .Ones you have it you can not get them out.
I have tried to change them from place but they continue to grow with more vigor ,but refuse to be propagated. This time i will try to propagate the piece of root in its permanent pot and with perlite alone.
