Wedding Planners or Sponsors???

Bensenville, IL(Zone 5a)

Does anyone know how to contact these people? My daughter is planning on getting married and we just can't afford the wedding of her dreams. She mentioned that sponsors, sponsor weddings and I've seen these things on tv but don't know where to start. Any help, direction or suggestions would sincerely be appreciated! Thanks Denise

This is how one couple sought assistance for their wedding!

OH THANKYOU SO MUCH VGMKY! Denise

She could ask around at local businesses and ask if they'd sponsor her wedding or offer discounted rates in exchange for advertising in the program or even on a website with wedding pictures. Easy advertising on a local market is great for them and for her.

Look at Google for sponsored weddings -- tons of results:

Here's something to think about:
In some cultures the families and extended families are ask to sponser certain things for the bride.. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brothers, sister etc, sponser the wedding cake, her dress, shoes, any and almost everything is sponsered instead of a wedding gift...that way they get the wedding they dream of instead of gifts that are "less desirable" ... several people can sponser on the same thing like $50.oo or $100.oo on the dress or the wedding reception, photography etc...
It's a thought and these days not a bad way to go if you have a lot of family .

MsCritterkeeper, Oh in the old days things were done differently, actually a little closer to what your suggesting. Today people, families are so strapped for money or trying not to be a hinderance to families that at least in this situation there isn't any room for that but I do appreciate your suggestion!
