Seedling watch #4 a short watch..LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I found this a little while ago in the very back of the brug garden. It is light pink but look at how the opening buds are looking upward.

Notice all the buds where the corolla has emerged are pointing up, the 2 that are closed are pointing down!

Kell...I am having so much fun watching all your seedlings! You are getting some great ones....and this one is so interesting! I just can't wait to see it in bloom! I hope it's dark pink for you! LOL Isn't there a brug that points up? Bambina?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This is seedling #5 that i just found also. But this one I bet is a suaveolens and not an aurea from looking at it. I think this is one of Kyles seedlings and is a Isabella X Esmeraldas cross.

Now that has got to be a Bert Baby, is it kell?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, maybe #4 will surprise you. I hope so. #5 does look like it has those suaveolens tendrils, but maybe the color will be good.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I am so excited for you Kell ... all these seedlings starting to bloom. Like the looks of #4 ... can't wait to see that one.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

You sure are getting all kinds of blooms out there. They must like the cool spell you're having.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Even though pale I sure like the way this one holds herself. Funny, it seems to get lighter the more open it becomes.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

OMG Kell! Wow

Winnetka, CA(Zone 9b)

Kell all your burgs are beautiful. You have so many different colors and shapes.

I am new to all this and I was wondering if you have more then one type of flower on a bush. I noticed in the forum that people keep talking about have the buds tagged. I love to look at everyones pics of burgs. I think I could get into this, it sounds like fun, or maybe not :-).

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

That's a really nice one Kell. How is the fragrance?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

They are very nice Kell! You are going to be the Queen of Pinks again.

Very pretty Kell.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Love the ones looking up. How old are these seedlings? I have some that are a year old already and still no blooms.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

I really like this looking up one. The tendrils and the shine of those blooms is wonderful and then you add the extra feature of it looking up and if it has fragrance too I would say you have a winner!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Shoot!! I was just out there and forgot to pull it down to smell it. It is right next to Big Yella and that one reeks.

Linda, it is from last year. About 1 year old. Never bloomed last year.

I also love how it is pointed up and not down. I pollinated this one with the dark BF pollen. I think I will touch it with RK and EP also.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

I'll let you have the title of 'Queen of the Pale Pinks', LOL. I'll keep the title of 'King of the Dark pinks'.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh so meannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Larry! A low blow to be sure! It is actually Queen of the Frosties! LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Poor Kell, that was truly mean of Larry wasn't it? Of course he hasn't posted any pics lately to show his dark pinks!

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

They are coming in the next day or so, pics that is. I may have to doctor them up just a wee little bit, couldn't stand letting Kell get ahead of me.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Watch it Kell, he will be the Pepto King thanks to PhotoShop!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Susie, you are right! Larry is not to be trusted! You have been listening to CC too much!

Here she is this morning. She is a decent pink.

Here is a new seedling from last year I called Star. Now she IS light pink. She is full of blooms right now and got no darker from last year. I have decided to kill her.

Gosh, trying to load pictures on here is getting agonizing. At least I have started to copy my post so I do not have to rewrite it every attempt to load. They do not call me smart for nothing!
