Brugie?

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I was wathcing the news late last night and noticed that Iowa was getting pounded with tornadoes! I see that you're posting this morning and was sooooo happy to see that! Did you get much damage? Hoping everything is ok with you and yours!

Brin :)

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Well....I'm confused! I don't think that I did see Brugie posting this morning after all! I was thinking today was the 21st! Has anyone heard from her?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm okay. Talking to WaterlooLily on the phone right now, but will be back later. Computer problems. Thanks for caring Brinda.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Glad you are okay, Brugie.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Good to hear that things were not as bad as anticipated in your area. Sure hope things improve weatherwise.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I am glad, that everything is okay with you Brugie.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Deb is the one that is having the bad weather. Renee also. I'm lucky so far.

Orange Park, FL(Zone 8b)

(((BRUGIE))) prayers to Deb & Renee!!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Glad you're okay, Brugie. I hope Deb and Renee are okay.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

It was an awful night last night with a repeat for tonight. We were fortunate that the system stayed one county south of us. They had a tornado on the ground and then it went on for hours with more popping up all over central Iowa! We watched it til midnight and then could see that we were in the clear! Hope you guys are all ok there in the storm areas!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I sure hope everyone stays safe... Kyle, Deb, Renee, Kooger, Brugie, yall please be careful!!

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Right across most of the central counties again last night. We just had a terrific light show and boomers than shook the house (no, it's not the 4th yet!) and over an inch of rain again.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Thanks everybody. We have some damage but we are okay. It has been pretty scarey the last couple days. I don't like these kind of storms ... not sure what they will do!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I've heard that it is to be worse tonight. I hope everyone will be okay and check in here as soon as they can if it hits again. I wasn't worried about anything here except my L'Amour. Shows you I have my priorities mixed up.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

LOL Shirley.....do you really think they are mixed up? Hahaha! I love all my brugs.....but L'Amour is the first one I go to when we have had high winds or hail! LOL We have had high winds for over a week now and today it has died down. And I'm telling you.....it's miserably hot outside today. I've been out most of the day planting and 'sweating' and now I'm getting ready to go for a dip in the pool! Sounds refreshing to me!!

Edited to say....I do hope everyone there is watching the news and paying attention to the storms or tornadoes tonight! Be safe everyone!!!

It's cool here, especially with the high winds and when the sun goes under a cloud, I feel like putting a jacket on. Have decided I'm not going to fight the wind anymore today and just stay in the house. I wonder if that heat you are having will be here in a few days. I have a hard time working in the heat anymore. There is still so much to do and with all the rains, the lawn never looks like it has been mowed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who holds L'Amour in high esteem. LOL!

LOL Shirley.....I don't know about the heat, but I do know that we had very high winds for over a week...and now they are supposed to die down and we are going to have above normal temps for this week! Right now, I've come in from sweating my a** off and thought I would look around for a bit! LOL I like the high temps in a way....my caladiums are loving it and so are my ee's! After I cancelled my order with GMTransplants this week I ran out and bought a few annuals that I am trying to get planted before the 'Heat Wave' begins! LOL Stay safe!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Brinda, we're having a heat wave also and no rain. There were storms all around us today and we didn't get a drop of rain. I spend a lot of time watering everything that's still in pots.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Our high today was 96 degrees! Oh my....now I'm wondering how hot it will be this summer! I think I've cooked myself today, we were outside all day potting and planting and making everything 'beautiful'! Our weather says that we should have storms the first part of the week. I'm just hoping we will have rain and not thunderstorms....I just hate all the wind!

How is everyone in Iowa tonight?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Dry right now, but they are saying "more rain tomorrow". Lots of flooding and damage in different areas from winds. We are okay here now and will just have to wait and see what tomorrow is going to bring.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Everyone up there can come stay with me and bring your plants LOL and during the toughest time of hurricane season We will head up there. Does that sound like a deal?

Selma, IA(Zone 5a)

When I heard there were high winds in Chariton I was wondering about your brugs . Glad they are alright. We have been lucky so far this year. Some wind but it is a strieght wind. Linda

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

ilovejesus- good plan, it gets my vote. Sadly, 4 people died in tornadoes in NE last night. Thankfully, everything is south of us again tonight.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Oh my We should pray for their families. I heard more storms today? Is that what your weather says? I am praying and thinking of all of you.

(who needs directions? My panty is full.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

I hope your pantry is full, too, but I got a real good laugh out of your full panties!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Yikes!! I think I'll stick with our earthquakes and never complain about our windy afternoons! Stay safe!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

my full panties? : )

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

(who needs directions? My panty is full.....

in the post above MaryinLA post!! Wow...Mary is quick...I read it and didn't even pick it up!!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Take care down there and remember your basements are a lot safer than standing in front of a window!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Well doggone it my secret is out. Please don't worry I wear the kind with fragrance and you will never know unless you hear a little grunting sound and my face is very red. Like it is now....This is how I know what my grandaughter is doing. I just can't take time out from gardening or looking at my pretty flowers to do something so time consuming as that.
I hope you all will still consider my offer for a safe place to stay. :0) We all a little quirks. :0)

Will this be a problem if I come during hurricane season?

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

lol Sandy you are a hoot!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Well I would imagine it can be a problem if those terrible storms come your way, people have been known to get that scared they get full...well...you know....almost did that with our last big quake!

Whitewater, WI

lolol, Sandy.... :)

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Boy, there's tornado warnings right now for south central Ia. Check out www.theiowachannel.com and it'll take your breath away - there are so many red areas, mostly south of Des Moines. All you folks down there, stay safe!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

How far is Des Moines from you kooger?

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Long way. About 4 1/2 hrs. drive. I'm only about 25 mi. SE of Sioux Falls, SD. We've got a lot of subscribers in the hot area. I read on that site that 43 counties in IA are under warnings right now. 23 counties were declared disaster areas from Saturday's 17 tornadoes and flooding. I HATE storms!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I hope everyone stays safe!! Our television flashes warnings for the areas that are under tornado watch and I pray all is well with everyone here.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

The storms were bad tonight. We lucked out here. Kind of seemed to be between the bad cells. My daughters town is without power and had many downed trees as did other places in the state. The worst thing is the flooding. There is a lot of it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Iowa on the National news. The storms just passed here at about 9 PM. Here is a picture I took from the back door. Shoot, it was still raining and I wasn't going to go out in it. LOL!

Hope you make it through without any damage Shirley
