recovery for her. And the strength from him to get both of you through. Please make sure an accident report is filled out at her job so she can collect workers comp while she is off. I know it is one more thing to do, but she only has 30 days to fill it out (atleast that is the way here in Texas. Also they will take care of these injuries for the rest of her life. These things are not something one thinks about at this time and if she doesn't want to Please tell her for me that I got hurt at work herniated 2 discs and after 5 years I am still not back to work.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's fall, injuries and subsequent surgery. I pray that she will mend quickly without too much pain and that she stays off of ladders!!! Sending big healing hugs to her and comforting ones for you.
Thank you all! Last night was my sleep night, tonight is my watch again. The ladder is history, made a nice fire. Thank you or reminding me I need to call the insurance compnay for the store, I don't know if it will do any good, but I have to try anyway. After days of watching, I don't think we are going to be out of the woods anytime soon. I also suspect my Mother will never be the same, I really do not look for her to ever go back to work, I will continue to keep her store open till she says enough, but ultimately I think it will not be there long. My Aunt is taking care of it now, but she will not be able to keep it up for long. I may have to take it "over" for a while, but this is not my dream, it is my Mother's. I feel overwhelmed right now, being pulled in every direction, so excuse me, if I don't always answer everything, somethings are getting lost in the shuffle. Margie, thank you for your offer! I hope by then, everything will be somewhat settled down, and we will have some sort of a schedule. Pray that God shows me what to do, and not just hints, because a gentle hint might not get through right now.

Oh Tracey, maybe things will not be so lifechanging. It is amazing how some people heal. Have they told you of any additives to her diet that promote bone healing?
God Bless you Tracey. You and your mom have been through so much lately. You take care of yourself, as well as your mom. If your mom's store had worker's comp coverage, they will pay. A woman where I used to work fell at work, and she was paid worker's comp insurance for quite awhile.
Im thinking of you and your family, and praying so hard. I wish there was more I could do to help.
Yes call the insurance and if they won't pay just consult a lawyer. Not to sue but for the insurance to pay. That is what she paid for. Also I don't know her money situation but if the she is going to be off work for a year she could appy for SSi or ever Social Security Disability Benefits.
I only bring these things up because I know your brain is full and You can't think of everything.
Give your mom a big hug and tell her we all love her.
If you could post hospital addy maybe we could send her cards. I know that will help keep her spirits up to know how much your gardening friends care.
