what is apple hedge tree??? i got somre of these seeds and they have ssprouted but not sure what they are

It's an Osage-orange hedge tree, they make a great windbreak and used to be used for live fencing for livestock. The wood also burns very hot;for a woodburning stove. The old fence posts in this state are made from them and some are 100 or more years old with out being treated.Jody

Better Thanks, I am packing trades I owe folks as we speak. I still have to make a trip down to my Mom's that's where I planted everything. Going to dig raspberries and take blackberry cuttings, look for trillium and take a few other cuttings. Jody
