I got my order from spring garden

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

It's a beauty..looks like it will be worth waiting for.

This one was a nice surprise. It is a nice soft yellow. Double River Wye, another one from Lilies in the Valley. My Startle has buds, so the waiting will soon be over.

You know, reading all this stuff about hems. Makes me just sick (with my memory). I used to know all the iris & lilium names. Rest of my garden was 'yellow hem', dark coral bells, etc etc. then I met you bunch - especially Echoes - who always knows EVERYTHING - rats -

Now I have to try and remember full names of veronicas, poppies, hostas, etc etc. on and on it goes.

I'm on another list called cold zone, where we have a hosta queen, martagon lily queen , african violet queen and so on and so on.

I always thought I knew quite a lot about plants. Well I do, just not their full name.

Amen, going out to contunue fighting with new fence I'm putting up.

I have taken to thinking, you don't have to know everything, just enough. What's enough?

It was a gift from my brother.

Hi Shawn,
It is about 4 in. across..
The colour is richer darker red and more velvety looking than in the photo.
