Hi guys, don't know if i'm even in the right place. this is my first day to dave's garden. I have a beautiful wisteria vine with pods hanging from it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the pods contain. Are they seeds, are they where the flowers open from? I would appreciate any help.

wisteria vines
I don't know, but if they're seeds, I'd LOVE some.
Welcome to the Garden. Granny Lois.
Granny Lois,
As soon as I find out if they are, I'll send you some. Other than that, maybe I can get you a cutting. I here they take longer to bloom though from cuttings.

The seed pods need to dry before picking them. They usually bust open around Jan. here in Middle Tn. I collect them about Christmas time to keep them from bursting open and therefore losing them. I hear they are hard to get to germinate. A good germination table can tell you more about it. I have all the vines I need and want without germinating them.
Elena,
Me too! The vines can get a little much at times. Thanks for the info.
Phyllis
