Thanks for the pic, Kell. I'm sure the next time it blooms, it will do better. I did love the color though, so if it gets even darker, it will be gorgeous.

Oh my....I have a 16-18 hour day tomorrow! Do you think it will be open when I get home tomorrow night? Or do you think it might be open when I get up in the morning? LOL I woke up 3 different times last night to check on it.
LOL....I was awake Sunday morning around 6:00 and sitting at the computer reading everything I missed. As I was sitting here I heard a pretty loud thud on the kitchen floor. Oh my, my heart fell and I just knew the bud had fallen off! LOL Luckily it was just a big leaf off a different brug!
Get some sleep, Brinda, it won't open tonight. It will have a star shape at the bottom when it's close to opening, like this * Right now, the flower is still curled up sleeping, & so should you, especially if you have a long day tomorrow!!

This one is a long bloomer,go to work,I bet it will not be open,and for sure not have color,you can look forward to the end of the week being a nice sight!
Mine is still open and looking good,but the scent has dropped since I pulled the pollen.

I'm crossing my fingers that she will be open and smelling great when you get home. You are going to be one happy camper. It really is. I have at least 30 buds on my single trunked tree, and three are open. I go out every ten or fifteen minutes to see if there is more action. When we get some real summer weather, I know the heat/humidity will make me return to normal, what ever that is, ha!!!! SLike
