Well, I would say!!! Poor baby, I've been so wound up that I didn't even notice. I guess that's what edit is for, huh??!! I've put
c- 'U'-l-e-b-r-a (I will forever think of *U* when I type that, ha!) in the morning sun, hoping to dry him out and warm him up. I think he's too limp on the ends of the shoots, kinda like celery that's gotten too cold in the frig, not frozen, but not warm either. I think I will try all of them in the morning sun, tho it doesn't appear that our afternoon sun will present a problem today, it's really cold, jacket weather. Thanks to all of you, I surely hope the plant is on the way to recovery, I just like this one so very much!! SLike
Does any one grow Brugmansia 'culebra'??
ohhhh, it is mite magnet? Well, that is not good.
Shirley posted: JT is right...much less water and I found it needed lots of sunshine. I no longer have mine because it became too hard to fight the mites on it.
Well, I have the sunshine, and I'll force myself not to over water it. Does it also require less fertiziler than the others?? Sounds like i have a real challenge, huh?? SLike
Hmm!, sounds like I better gain more experience before attempting this one then. Thank you all for your input, I've learned alot.

Different climates I guess but I have never seen mites on any of mine.
JT, I had clover mites two years ago and every brug I owned suffered from them until they got some good size to them. I didn't have Avid then, but now I'm armed and ready for battle. Last summer I didn't have to spray one time, even tho I did once when I thought I might have cyclamen mites, but it ended up being the heat causing the problem. The humidity was really high last summer. I'm expecting bug problems this year. I couldn't be lucky enough to have two years off from a spraying routine.
This year I used that Orthenex systemic that Walmart sells.I have not seen a mite on anything.I have used Avid with good results but the Orthenex takes care of things like fungus gnats
and leaf spot as well as the mites. Now if I could just get rid of the caterpillars.Thuricide works but doesn't last long.
I'm so glad you posted that JT, I'm going to check WalMart because I could not find Avid. Man, oh, man, the caterpillaras are the problem here too!!!! If you find a cure, please advise!!! SLike
