Here is a place for Newbies(as I once was) or people that have grown Brugs for MANY years to put pics, ask questions, or what ever............
Pardoncanda, this is the place for you to put up A picture of any Brug you have grown.
If I give information to a novice,it is because I have been there,I can not always give the best info, but what I offer comes from getting my hands dirty.
Edit to make sure my spelling was up to snuff, come on John, lets see one

Brugs for real.
Wow that is awesome Root
I am new to brugmansia-growing and have recently purchased two small specimens. I have never before seen (or noticed) their habit of growth, even though there are many growing here in the New Orleans area. I think that most are growing in private gardens, and I know they are popular in the walled "courtyard" gardens in the French Quarter.
Can you give me some idea of how long it takes for a brug to attain that "tree" size? Thank you. (Root, your garden is impressive!)
Jean
Just Beautiful!Root, you must have the magic touch!
Jean, with the proper care, they can become trees in one season, the tall one in my picture is Doctor Suess, when this picture was taken, last year,it was 5 years old.
I used Peat.compost and Miraclegro potting soil to fill this bed.
I would feed with MG (15/30/15) every couple weeks, then after seeing Brugies plants,I switched to Peters 20/20/20,she had seedlings that were tall standards in one season.
Jean,With cuttings did you get?
New Orleans is gorgeous,I wish I had that climate.
Root.
Root,
Beautiful! You've inspired me. You must have quite the green thumb if you can accomplish a garden bed like that in zone 6.
I can't wait until I have something to take a picture of to share with everyone.
You can do it!,it gets to be work sometimes,I just keep saying over and over,'It is a hobby"LOL!!
I hope you get to smell a Brug this year, they are such a treat, and quite a classy flower, your addiction will grow with us.
Great looking Brugs, Root. You have the touch.
"Thank you, Root," she says, as she heads out to find Peters 20-20-20. LOL. If I can get them to grow and, perhaps, flower, I will be thrilled. This is fun!
I have a peach versicolor and a variegated-leaf Snowbank (babies). And, after seeing a picture of Redrose's blossom, I know I'll have to have a double- or triple-yellow brug or dat. Gorgeous!
Again, thank you!
I remember that picture, just breath-taking.
You are welcome, glad to help,Monika says that a fert with a lower middle number works better,so do not get locked into 20/20/20,I am looking for other types of fert, your little one above sure looks happy!!!
I think Tracey uses Peters too and she has had burgs bloom in 6 months from seed. Doc your picture is beautiful. I can't begin to imagine what your whole yard looks like.
Wow Root... I hope my brugs grow up to be big, beautiful & look just like yours!
Thanks,I am sure your Brugs will get to be nice happy trees, they are pretty easy, and in your zone, they should be very happy.
If I could just uproot the front of your house and transplant it to mine, I'd die a happy woman. lol
Ya think it would look good in front of my 110 year old Painted Lady?? lol
You bet SD,you can do it!lots of water!
Love that photo Root ... I need to get busy. I have a spot around the new deck I can do something like this.
Steel datura, I want to see a couple of pictures of your Painted Lady. Please??
Me Too! I love them!
Yes in deed SD!We love pictures.
Deb,I have a contractor coming tomorrow,to bid on my deck,I wonder if I should try to hunt down that great wood source like you did.
Actually I've got a plan....hope you don't mind me duplicating your "Master Design",Root...lol
Watering....yep all of my 140 babies are always thirsty....little monsters...lol
Will do tomorrow, Liz
Bob, it came from a place called SoundCedar out in Washington. I love the smell of the wood. Should last forever!
Wow, Root, that is just gorgeous.
Thanks Deb,I will check on it this morning.Thank you Roz.
Now that's a real brug. LOVE it....
Good to see you on Kristi, hope things are settling down your way.
Thanks Root! Your a doll. ((hugs))
I was trying to find your Email addy a minute ago.
Root, your brug trees are beautiful. Are you building a new deck, remodeling or what. I used Trex for my deck several years ago, didn't want to have to be recoating wood every year.
Guess it is a good thing I didn't try to plant my brugs, about 50 of them out in the garden last week when it was so warm. Now the orchard frost fans are running again. Got down to 31 a couple of nights ago and now is this morning is 34, so still too cold. Donna
Sorry to hear you did cool off again Donna,I am having a Sunroom built on the back of the house and a deck put on at the same time,I have seen the new Mockwood for decks,I am not sure I like it,Debs deck in made from Mahogany, and I know I like that.
Momma says she like wood,so you know we are going to have wood.
That should be a great combination Root, A sun room and a deck, will sure be handy. Send us pictures as work progresses. Donna
How smart you are to know already that what Momma says is what is done!!! LOL Root!
I have found that my brugs have responded well to me using superthrive. Actually.....all plants that I have been using this on are doing lots better!
I am going to try this as soon as I get home! I bought a bottle and lost it then found it but forgot to use it. Welcome Lanan!
Kell, you sound like me. LOL I bought a bottle last year and have no idea what I did with it. So I bought two this year.
My bottle had to be put into another container. The lid rusted very bad and I could barely get it off.
Welcome Lanan. It is always fun meeting new members and hearing about them and their brugs.
If you are like me Ada, I feel for you! Sometimes I wonder how I get anything done these days!
Well....I'm going to go out today and see if I can find it here in Oklahoma! After reading about it....it sounds like a good thing!
Hi Lanan....welcome, you're going to love it here!
Brinda :)
Kell, I have so much to do, I don't know where to start. I have to toss a coin each day to decide which is more important to do right away. LOL
ahelms....LOL That is a good idea! Now I will know where to start without having to worry about it! LOL
