I'm looking for lots of these but can't imagine paying $1.49 for as many as I need. I just thought I would ask here to see if anyone had any suggestions. I need about 100 of them for right now. I thank you all for reading.
Does anyone know where to get 5 Gal nursery pots.
you can get all you want in my backyard :0).
Serouisly though, look in your yellow pages under "Landscape Contractors" start calling! If their wife is not a plant junkie, chances are they have plenty. I wish we were going to Fla. soon, I'd bring you a truck load.
hehehe, I just gave the same advice on another forum this was posted on ;o)
We got a dozen or so used one-gallon ones for free from the nursery one time. They just happened to have some on hand when we asked. If there is a nursery that you go to all the time and they recognize you, they might be willing to set aside for you what they accumulate.
I would imagine that contractors throw away what they get every week, but if you are willing to pay something for them, they might keep them for you. They may not think it worth their time, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
There's always ebay.
I requested some from a local nursery. I bought from 1 gal to 1/2 whisky barrel size gal for .50 to U think $5.00 last summer. I'd call around.
Good luck
I heard that if you call "landscapers" that plant trees in peoples yards, they might give them to you for free, just to get rid of them.
Here's a link to Morton's. You can purchase 5 gallon nursery containers for $.74 each.
When you're done with them you can sell them on eBay. I see people buying them on there all of the time...used and unwashed. You might check eBay from time to time to see if sellers have some that big.

Thanks tls. I'll keep an eye on Ebay to see what (if anything)comes up.
how soon are you needing them? I know at some point this summer we will be heading your way. I would gladly meet up with you somewhere to give you some.
Justme,
I won't be needing them right away. I would love to meet up with you when you head out this way. I would really appreciate your help with this. Thanks and lookin forward to meeting you.
