"Dane County Winter Farmers' Market"
Hello all – This will be very quick today as we are very busy planting, weeding and all the good things that come with living on a farm. Hannah, our 8 year old daughter, has been helping us this week and yesterday she was out helping thin the radishes. The birds were filling the air with their sweet songs and Hannah said to me, “If we lived in the city we would be hearing cars instead of these birds.” Out of the mouth of the young – what a lovely young lady who is so in tune to nature.
I want to thank you all for coming down to the Friends Fundraiser Brunch last Saturday. It was a great success and we served at least 425 folks a delicious breakfast – compliments of L’Etoile. Thanks to L’Etoile, our many many volunteers that worked the entire morning and to the vendors at the market for providing the food that made this meal so very special and good. Note: You can still sign up to become a member of Friends and have your breakfast included during the last two indoor markets.
Just 2 more breakfasts before the outdoor season starts. I want to extend an extra special thank you to Ben Hunter of the Catacombs Coffee House for being at the market for ELEVEN of the breakfasts when all is said and done.
Our friend and fellow vendor John Carr from Pecatonica Valley Farm is still on the mend . He had some complications following surgery. John’s home address is PO Box 57, Hollandale, WI. John wears the chicken hat. I’m sure that cards would be most appreciated.

Newbie, Thanks so very much for doing this. I so love the market and with our members so scattered, this is one of the few ways that I can share (other than getting plants and growing enough for trade!!)
