Polly, the Spessart and the Vogelsberg, where I live, are divided by the River Kinzig.
The german name is Seidelbast and it flowers before the wild white anemones do, the Buschwindröschen.

We think of our Daphne as winter Daphne; that is what makes it so special, when it blooms and makes such an incredible aroma when there is snow (mostly ice) on the ground, and winter has been around too long.

I an planning on planting my Brugs today -- there is one labeled (it looks like) A. Paja, another is V. orange, Rosemond ( we know about that one) and Kyle's Pink. Please give me an idea of whether these are going to be 4 ft or 12 feet! I have my pots ready to go!
Thanks!

Polly I am only growing the Rosamond but I think it depends on how much you fed them and how big a pot you put them in. I have a potted Rosamond that is 3 years old that is only 6 feet and one in the ground that was well over 16 feet.

Wow, 16 feet. Now that's a Brug. LOL

Anyone know about the others? I know Eventide is a shrub, so I'll plan accordingly, but I wonder what size the others might become.

Well, they all may be shrubs if that means bush like. Depends where the cutting came from or if it was a sucker or seedling. But even bushes can get tall. I have an Arborea I just moved to a 24 inch pot and it is a bush but very big. About 6 ft tall by 5 ft wide. Normally I would have root pruned it and cut it back at the same time, but I have too many pods on it and was afraid the ones that did not get trimmed would fall off from shock.
