Sure looks like it to me! What did you cross it with?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

It sure looks like a pod, CC. Got my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I love the looks of the arborea pods. Never got any to set on mine last year.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Lucky girl ... looks like it to me too!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Yes it is! Did it form on it's own? I don't remove my spent blooms and they just keep forming.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I'm too new at this pod thing, but I think so,and looks like a nice little bit of spanish moss in the back too.Love it.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Looks like a baby pod to me!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well, I will go so far as to say I guarantee it! LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Yeeeeeees it is LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

YYYYEEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

It got crossed to itself...so they would be pure arborea seeds....right?

I'm so excited....20 little blooming arboreas...I can just smell the fragrance now.....mmmmmmmmmm

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Right.....and you will have many little blooming arboreas with a very sweet fragrance LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I love the fragrance of the arborea. I hope mine will do well this summer.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Shirley,I'm not sure if this is the one I got from you or Susie.
The other one hasnt bloomed yet but has a ton of growth on it......thinking of airlayring

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I kind of wish that is what I had done, but I whacked instead. Mine was getting out of control and needed to start over.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Arborea is still on my wish list. I can't find anyone that sells it and the seeds I purchased from Ebay, I don't think is Arborea.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

All the seeds I tried on ebay were NOT arboreas either,I have some tagged "ebay Arborea NOT"

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

CC, that's probably how I'll have to tag these also. I bought from two different people and neither looked like an Arborea seed.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I know exactly how you feel.....I think others here have had the some problem with ebay seeds

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

CC, how is the pod doing? Was it a pod? Is it growing?
It's been so windy here, my pods just don't want to hang on! I'm going to have to plant more windbreaks!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Most of my pods dropped off but I had one selfed pod that hung on. It still dropped a little early... seeds were mostly brown but them could have been riper. I planted them all because I didn't think they'd handle drying out. It looks like some are starting to germinate. If I don't kill em I'll have some seedlings to share in a few weeks.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

CC . . how exciting to see a tiny pod on your Arborea. You are going to have many babies soon.

Sue . . you are so generous about sharing and I know many will be thrilled to get a baby seedling of yours.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

You've already picked the pod? Wow, that was fast.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

My pod is still on there.....

and I finally put my 2 Arboreas side by side....

they are NOT the same plant, thats for sure.......

wondering if the one is mismarked or if there are variations in the leaves....

the one that bloomed had regular shaped leaves ,the other has serrated leaves.....
both are soft and fuzzy.....

can they both be arboreas?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

maybe it is a sang cross, CC.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I gotta go out ,check the tags again, and take a picture....

I swear one said Liz's seedling.......maybe it isn't.......

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

OK,I checked them, the serated one says liz's arborea seedling,I'm thinking thats the one I got from Shirley.

The other ,which has bloomed, and is an arborea ,just says arborea

The serratted leaf does look very sang looking....its very dark green too.......

could this be a sang and not an arborea?
or a flava?

LLLIIIIIZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!

Fatting Fat!!!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Nice pod CC. Hey did it make the peacock sick when it attacked your pod?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Bad peacock, bad! Your plants look great CC!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

thanks guys, but I gotta find out what that one with the serrated leaves is...

I can't sleep now wondering.....

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Sure looks like a sang to me.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes... it looks "sang-ish" to me too. Have you seen blooms on it? I wonder if Liz has any of the arborea hybrids? Maybe they differ in leaf shapes...

I didn't pick my pod... it fell off. I didn't even notice till I stepped on it while watering - LOL. Seeds are germinating so it's a good sign.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

cc, does it resemble this? This is an x flava.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I'm gunna pee my pants!!!

it does look like that,I went out and compared it to my sangs and there is a different texture and shape ,almost like the thickness is different.....
but the color is the same

I'm gunna FREAK if its a Flava.....

it just started getting the serrated leaves...the leaf shape on the older leaves is not serrrated, all the new ones are.....

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Ok, now here is another old pic of mine, it's a sanguinea. Look at the leaves.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

In the morning ,when its daylight,I'll take a picture of it next to my sangs.....see how much difference there is...so be ready....there will be a quiz at the end....LOL

the funny part is It never occured to me it wasn't an arborea until today when I just happened to place both plants together

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

OhMydoG!!!! It looks like a pod to me, course I've never seen a pod, but looks like you got one. Does this mean I might be an aunty??? Or, at least, a kissing cousin????? Please say yes!!! SLike

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Working backwards here. This is an old photo of Arborea. Look at these leaves.
