It felt good to be able to get in some real dirt for a change, but tonight I'm really tired. Bet I sleep good. LOL! Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice again, so I'm going to the nursery to get my cabbage plants and will get them in and then hope for rain.
Charles Grimaldi and Friends
Gretchen, I love being able to get outside. When it's warm, I stay outside. I can always find something to do out there. LOL
Best of luck on your veggies, Shirley.
Ada, I'm with you 1000%! My DH can be perfectly content in front of the TV, but I'm happiest working outside, even if its hard, physical labor LOL!
Gretchen, if I had as much energy inside as I do outside, my house would be spotless. LOL I love working outside.
Gosh, I hate housework. Any part of it. In the spring, summer, and fall, my house suffers. I do what I have to and that is it. In the winter it suffers because I'm trying to figure out how to get through all the plants that I keep inside. Guess you could say, I don't do very well with the house. My cleaning lady has to clean around things and since we live in a small house, it can become a problem. My worst room is the one I'm in. It is my catch all room and has all my craft stuff, treadmill, light stands, junk, bed, and computer stuff. The bed acts as a second desk. Bet you all feel better about your houses now. LOL!
Brugie...your office sounds just like mine !
I am just getting into brugs and thought I would check out this site. I am usually in daylily area.
You do make me feel better though, that I am not the only one! Only I don't have a cleaning lady. I think she quit and went into gardening!! (that's me!!)
LOL Picturelady, mine did also!!! And I have never found a replacement!
Welcome to Brugs and friends! Grow brug trees and you can have your daylilies as underplantings! And since you live so close to me, want some brug seeds?
Kell,
Where do you live? I would love some brug seeds. Actually I just got my first 2 cuttings. One of Charles Grimaldi and one a white dbl.
I just went out to take a photo of the white one....it has a bud about to open...the first bud fell off...maybe too much or too little water, I don't know which.
I'll try to get the photo on....also a photo of my DH tupperware garden cart, which he loves. It is the larger version of the one posted above.
Wow, I thought something had happened to my vision when I clicked on that first one. LOL!! Love the cart. I'm going to have to get me one. Would have to be much easier than my big old wheelbarrow. Your daisies are very pretty. Again, welcome to the brug group.
Thank you again Brugie...the cart is about 36" x 45" maybe...the great thing about it is that you can put air in the tires. It makes it so easy for pulling heavy loads!
The daisys are Santa Barbara daisys....they started in a small area and have spread to a large area! I like them too...they take no care. Actually they in the birdbath area and get watered frequently, when I am adding water to my birdbath!
They are loved then. It also helps to live in zone 9, I'm sure. We have to fight here to keep things alive from one year to the next and sometimes we fail. I quit raising a lot of perennials due to heavy losses during bad winters. Now I just over winter tropicals all through the house. I think I would have been better off replacing the perennials, but now I'm hooked on tropicals and will continue growing them.
Welcome picturelady. I see your addiction starting to grow now. LOL Watch Brugie, she'll get you all into tropicals and you'll be pulling out the plastic just like me. LOL
Click on my name Picturelady and email me your address. I just sent hundreds of seeds to Susie today for the ABADS seedbank! But I kept a few! LOL
Oh I live in San Leandro.
Kell...I e-mailed you. Thank you for your reply and link...it looks great! I can see why they are so addictive!
ahelms...thank you for the welcome...my plastic is already always out with daylilies...I really do not NEED another addiction! I am just getting into hosta too!
Picturelady, you like the rest of us, you have too many addictions. LOL
