What kind of tree is this

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

At the hotel we stayed this tree was just covered in these great pods. I took several pics in hopes that someone can itentifiy it for me. I will try to post the pics I took. It was a gorgeous tree. Keep in mind that this was in Phoenix, AZ

Can't tell a thing from the pictures.....there appears to be a swirl of the image around the edges.
I am doing a search on the seed pod however. I'll let ya know if I find anything out.

Redondo Beach, CA(Zone 11)

Looks like a texas ebony tree, Pithecellobium flexicaule, Deep green foliage, smooth gray trunk, zigzagging thorny branches with compound leaf with 3-5 pairs of leaflets, creamy yellow flower clusters, 4-6 in seed pods
