RAIN------Yee Haw!!!!!!

(Zone 9a)

Finally! A low-pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico is bringing much needed rain. My rain barrels have been empty for weeks...now 1/2 full. And it's a slow, steady, soaking rain. Badly needed, as plants were just surviving even with daily watering. Maybe now they'll actually GROW.
Hope Florida gets some of this rain...they need it worse than we do.

Bloomer, glad you got it. We've been really lucky here in GA, my ponds don't even like this much rain, but I won't ever complain!!!

OK--everybody quit doing the rain dance now. The 'rain' has turned into a tropical storm right on top of us! In fact, I believe I see the eye coming onshore right now....clear sunshine on the west end of Galveston island.

Just ran out to try to rescue some of my potted babies. Poor things were taking a beating.

It's not really too bad, though. Mostly lots of rain...winds have only gusted to 45 m.p.h. at most. A good day to catch up on some reading :)

It snowed in the mountains of New Hampshire, a few days ago!
I'm with you, notmartha!!! After no rain, all of April and most of May, it seems as though that's ALL we've had, for the past two weeks! Enough, already!!!
