while we are on the subject of Dr. Priessels book, I love the picture on page 81! My Arborea wants to look like that. I agree his book is wonderful for indentification purposes, and a wealth of info on Dats. I will have to check out Rich Sanders charts Frannie, thanks. I just started with datura again, I threw them away a few years ago when I read they carry some of the same diseases effecting Brugmansia, and didn't want to take any chances, but I will be trying them again this year.
Great Brug Reference Book
John,I have attained use of this book recently, and it will be good to read it,then we can further discuss it,your growing experiences, mine, and how they relate to this book.
Root.
I have both books and use them both. Each is a good book but I find that I use the Priessel book more as it is in English.Priessels is also hardcover which I find holds up better when a book is in regular use.
JT, didn't you get the translation for Monika's book? Wow, I don't know what I'd do without it. I guess I'd be trying to type German into a translator and it still wouldn't read right for me. LOL!!
Yes Brugie,I got the translation but it's in a seperate booklet and that makes it a little unhandy.I hope that one day Monika
makes hers available in English.
Great books. I have both
Me too, Donna. Been a big help to me.
That would be great if it could happen.
I also think it would be great if Monica's could be in English. Having to go from page to translation gets a bit tedious. It is full of so much good information. I have both books.
I hear she is working on that! LOL. Have you all noticed how magazines now have lots of pictures on Brugmansias? They are becoming much more mainstream!
Looks like I better start reading more. LOL!
