These artichokes are planted in the rear backyard, where there is a peach tree, a lemon tree, an avocado tree, and some eucalyptus trees.
Does anyone know which double this is?
Wowser Clare! Great pictures :o) It looks like you have an awful lot to take care of. I bet you have to water all the time. It makes me tired just looking. You're place looks great. I'd love to stroll around in person.
Thanks, PoppySue! You are right that it is a lot to water and take care of. I AM tired all the time! LOL! But I love it.
How beautiful.. your landlords are not going to want you to ever leave that house, and I don't blame them. Really like the way your brugs go over the fence and it just looks so nice. Beautiful plants and yard. You must have alot of watering to do around there. I like your kids too..
Beautiful yard, Clare. I love all your plants. I see you have to do like I do and drag the hose around. LOL
LOL Clare, you have plantitis bad! Just lovely! Your last double white picture looks like a triple to me!
Holy Cow!! How do you keep all of this watered? Beautiful. I love the bougie. Very pretty Clare. You should be very proud of all you do. Colorado might not be as easy. LOL!
LOL, thank you everyone for your kind words.
Antoinette, I wish I had your yard! I hope the landlord likes what I've done with the landscape. I've pretty much redone everything except the large hedges and trees. I put alot of things of mine in the ground, but I'm not worried as long as I can propagate them.
Thanks, Ada! I have four hoses that I use, and I do drag them around quite a bit -- sometimes twice a day during the summer.
Kell, you are the Queen of beautiful plants, and mine pales in comparison to yours! That double does look like a triple because their is another double right behind it and a little lower!
Thanks, Shirley. You're right about Colorado! Hubby is now looking at Nevada, which would definitely be better for my plants!
Kell, here is another picture of the double behind the double:
Clare, I have seven hoses that I drag around. Too many places I have to water. LOL
Wow, Ada, seven hoses are a lot! You must have some strong arms!
You are too kind Clare. I have lots of potted plants also. I hope Nevada works out for you. You will really go nuts when you have your own ground to dig in!
Clare, not strong arms, just strong will power. LOL
Thanks, Kell. Our move out of California is still a few years away, which is when hubby will retire. You're right that I will go nuts when the land is mine! I'm glad I've had a chance to find out my likes and dislikes and to make mistakes so hopefully, when that day comes, I will make wiser choices.
LOL, Ada. I hear you! We gotta give our babies a drink:-)
Your blooms look great. So happy it is doing something there. We got some good rain here too, I wheeled some of the brugs out to get a little of it yesterday. Love those roses...
Clare, what a pretty picture. I love the roses too. Is it by any chance Chrysler Imperial? I haven't seen one for years, but my brain tells me it could be. LOL!
Beautiful Clare,what a picture,you made my day!!
Really, red roses and white brugs, how can you go wrong! Perfection!
Beautiful, Clare.
Thanks, everyone. That is so sweet of you to say. It makes my back pain worthwhile! I dragged that double white Brugmansia in its heavy container and put it in front of the red roses against the house to take the picture. LOL! Now, I'm glad I did.
Shirley, girlfriend, you are good! They are indeed Chrysler Imperial roses.
Thanks Clare. I thought it might be. I think I might have to get that one again. It sure is showy.
It definitely is showy, Shirley. I have Mister Lincoln and Oklahoma too, which are both stunning reds. I'd root a branch for you if I thought I could, but I'm not sure you can do that with roses.
Clare, you don't have to do it for me, but you should try it sometime. It does work. I had a storm roll through three or four years ago and three canes broke on my Fragrant Cloud. I stuck them in a coffee can full of damp sand and two of them rooted very well. I still have one of them. The original plant died.
Oh, Shirley, thanks. That is good to know. I planted all of my roses here in the ground, and I would like to take a few with me when we next have to move. If I find I need to trim my Chrysler Imperial, I'll save the cuttings for you.
Great pictures. Oklahoma sure has a gorgeous bud shape. Thanks. I love roses and am anxious to see if my David Austin roses will do okay here.
