What is the symbol flower of your country?

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil(Zone 11)

I'm curious about it. I know that many countries have a symbol animal and a symbol flower/plant. Here in Brazil, for example, the Yellow Trumpet Tree, or Yellow Ipe (Tabebuia chrysotricha - http://plantsdatabase.com/showpicture/28226/ ) was made our official flower, even though most people have no idea that this even exist. Don't even ask me what is the symbol flower of Rio de Janeiro, because I never heard we had one.

How about your country and/or state/province/city?

Englands flower is the red rose, it's animal emblem the lion. In Wales the national flower is a bit confused, many now use the Daffodil although the Leek is also an emblem. It could be that Daffodils were called a type of leek at one time, it's welsh common name being Cenhinen pedr (literally Pedr's Leek). In Scotland the Thistle and Harebell are floral emblems.
