Hi Dori,

Thank you so much to you and everyone for your prayers!!!They mean so much to me, James and our family! And your prayers have truly helped with James' recovery. He has a lot of healing yet to do but he's alive and mending.

For those who don't know, three weeks ago tomorrow, James had run out of gas on the interstate. He was putting gas in his tank on the side of the road and was hit by a car. His injuries were critical, but by some miracle, he had no brain or spinal injuries. He has a a lot of healing and recovery yet to do. But age is on his side. He celebrated his 19th birthday in the hospital.

If you ever run out of gas on the side of the road, make sure you put out flares along with turning the flashers on. And if you can get a police to park behind you with some flasing lights, it would certainly help to make people notice that you are there.

(((( Bless you all )))))

Good grief! I had no idea. (I thought he was just sick or something.) Thoughts, cares, prayers, and concern are coming ya'lls way. Hope he is aware and coherent...maybe you can print out some of the funnier posts and take to him to read...laughter heals also.

I will print this thread out and take it to him. He was moved today to the "Accute Rehabilitation" wing. I've heard good things about this department. It will be a lot of hard work for him, but I have every confidence that he will suceed.

He will be a better man for it, as much as it hurts now. My step-dad was in a motorcycle wreck in the 70's. He was had severe head injuries and neurological problems; he was in a wheelchair, all curled up; it is nothing, absolutely nothing, short of a miracle that he was able to get out of the chair and learn how to walk, eat, talk, etc. again. He still has a steel plate in his skull. My step-dad is a living testimony of God's faithfulness.

May your James' heart and resolve be strengthened and his hope be renewed every morning! :o) Kimberley
