Take a walk on the sidewalk

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I think Ma Vie uses Superthrive and loves it. I keep forgetting to buy some to try!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Root, loved your photo show. Are all the bananas down in your basement. I can understand your getting rid of the weeping willow even tho they are graceful. Your garden certainly deserved garden of the month and/or year. I've got to go finish packing my suitcase. Getting up at 3:00am to drive to Wenatchee to catch our tour bus to Reno. Will be back on 20th. Hope your snow melts soon. Snowed hard here this morning for a couple of hours then warmed up enough to melt most of it. Donna

Donna, I wish you great luck in Reno! May you hit the big one!

Kell, I think you might be right, but after looking up the prices on SuperThrive, I won't be using it for watering or as a fertilizer additive. I have used it when I plant stuff to give them a boost, but that is as far as I've gone with it. Someone said that using Vit. B capsules in your water will give about the same results unless I've got my products mixed up again.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Last year Walmart had huge bottles of it on sale! I did not get into the store till too late! I hope Ma Vie lets me know again if she sees it so cheap again. I love trying new things!

I love the VF-11 I use. My seedlings seem to love it. And it is so gentle. Does not burn even when I am so heavy handed with it.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Just bought a bottle at wallys world for $7.98 on sale usally $9.98.
It says 50+ vitamins and hormones, ready made pure for immediate use, says add to your fertilizers,1/4 teaspoon per gallon.
My thinking was to start using it,to get my plants up and running from the dormant stage,so when April the 1st comes there ready to plant in the ground.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Kell, am keeping my eyes open LOL! so far have not seen any yet. well let u know, if they come up again.

Don it is the same thing i do prior to Spring. i recommended Superthrive to Meiyu, she watered most of her brugs all spring of last year. she had good results there after. so did i with brugs on the ground.

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Do you have to dig the cannas and brugs every fall?
Yard of the month? Which month was this? I am not familiar with the Kansas City area weather. Did you have to replant a lot every year with annuals?
My yard looks really lush in the growing season and then everything just dies back and it looks so barren and naked. I hate my winter pictures.
You probably would have gotten yard of the year had it been a full year of this.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes Windy, everything gets dug, well I do have a few perrinial, but for the most part,I do a lot of digging in the fall!

GREAT LOOKING PICTURES!!! Your da man....doin' your thing in "tropicalesque" Kansas!!! Who would have ever thought it possible??? Goes to show you what can be accomplished with a shovel, good soil, water, plants such as fast growing 'nana's, elephant ears, Brugs, and assorted other tropical treasures!!! Can't wait to see your garden this summer....I know it will be totally awesome again!!!

Lovely photos. I'm going to have a go at going tropical this year. I know if it ain't broke, don't fix it - but I like fixing it! Roll on spring.

Soooooooooooo beautiful Root. I'm really starting to get cabin fever and we don't even get snow;but a week+ of gray gloom and drizzling rain has really done me in.

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Gorgeous photographs root. One day my yard may grow up to be lush and tropical like your yard. :) I can't wait to see the new photographs after you've made your changes.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Well, you have inspired me to plant more tropicals this summer. Daves can be hard on the checking account. Anyone need some daylilies?
