koa tree

has anyone heard of the koa tree and know anything about it? I believe it's in the acacia family? although, thats just what google told me.

my boyfriend is a guitar enthusiast and there are guitars made out of its beautiful wood- and he asked me to see about it. is there anyway to obtain seeds? just to grow haha, not for guitar making. any info would be greatly appreciated.

I did a Yahoo search of +"Acacia koa" +nursery and got 132 hits. The first was a nursery that sold seedlings, www.forestnursery.com
