I'm glad David. No reason for you to lose your plants due to cutting them back severely. I'm not so sure that I wouldn't take the first cuttings for yourself and make sure they root so you don't lose a plant totally when you do start sharing. It was very expensive for you to get them to begin with.

I sure looks good David. I can't wait to see the blooms this summer. I wonder if Rothkirch color will be darker in different parts of the country.

That is exactly what I would do to David, make sure you have a back up or two. Wait till this fall and let it get some size on it before you cut, maybe then we can do the picture thing, and figure it out together.

I have gotten a couple all rooted but then about 3 months later they just slowly decline. I am going to wait to spring befor eI try again to give them an extra push.

I would also make one or two back up cuttings to be on the safe side.
