When someone wants their Crepe Myrtles to stay in the 7-10 foot height range what is the best way to trim them. I go to some home owners houses that have let their trees get to 20 feet tall and now they want them to be 10 feet max during the summer. The have 3in diameter growth and I'm not sure how to trim them to get a nicely shaped tree. I see peoople trimming them all the time down to a knucle about 5-6 feet off the ground. What do I do to get a small but nice looking tree?
What is the best way to trim Crepe Myrtles?
