Looking for Hibiscus Trades :-P

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

If you think Hidden Valley is too pricey, do any of you have suggestions where I could buy unusual tropical hibiscus plants?

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Anyone ever tried this place? they have some great looking ones.

P.S. All their quart size hibiscus are 15.00. Not bad, I think.

$15.00 is a great price! Heading there now...

www.Logees.com/store/

I am ordering Estelle etc.from them. The only problem is shipping, $10.00, so it makes you want to buy more.

They sure have some pretty ones at Logee's.

Ok I just started today to check this forum. I live out of the USA so trading is out of the questions. But tell me what you find to be the best way on starting new plants from cuttings. Since I live in the tropicals I can grow year around. Look forward to your reply.

Wow islandgrower, you should have NO problem starting them. I start mine in jars of perlite, plastic over, under lights. If it is warm there, you can start outside under jars in the ground. I do use rootone, but might not be necessary. Take bottom sets of leaves off. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. Did check out some of the above mentioned website and did drool over them. Can't bring anything here without permit and a lot of red tape. I know it is needed to keep out the bugs etc but hard for those of us that have no place to shop. Just will dream of them and keep trying to swap with other growers here.

Flowerjunkie do you grow orchids too? What is a good one for beginners? I love your plants. Do you sell plants on Daves?
