Do white nubbies on all plants in water indicate rooting? I put some Confederate Rose cuttings in water until i got dirt and pots together. They all have white nubbies on them.....is there a possibility it's roots, or have I hurt the cuttings?
White Nubbies
yes that is the starting of roots, all lot i have transplanted after rooting in water died so just keep an i on them!! Good luck I love mine I have three in my front yard one of my favorite plants.
Thanks! I plan on keeping them in pots indoors and maybe putting them in sand after the water, what do you think? They are covered in nubbies now, and it's only been 4 days.
spacecowgirl, I'd leave them in water for a week, then into seed starting soil; no need for sand?
Cool! I see some roots coming out now. It took less than a week, even the 2" cutting is getting the nubbies on it. Of course I do spike the water with a little miracle grow for roses....highly diluted of course...but I"m happy with what's happening. I have some seed starter mix, and pots all ready, thanks for the advice Jon.
