Wow doc your gonna have a huge jump on the season arent you? my poor lil semi dormat cuttings n seedlings-----I really realllllly want to start pouring on the fert, but I just dont have enough real or fake light to do them any good, so I guess they will just have to finish their nap out. all these pics n catalogs in the mail have me twitching to get a jump on spring anyway I can but I promised myself LAST year that I would not be the queen of frost bite AGAIN... cheryl

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Hey, Doc! Is it open yet? Open, open, open...

Mesilla Park, NM

Hi rootdoctor, I would love to trade for one of your maya cuttings if you still have one (maybe in spring), i have lots of cannas , and a few other things.. let me know what you are looking for. I have lots of cuttings that I got here and BGI, but they are too small to cut. Thank you for considering.. I do have my original Orange/Yellow, White, and I think now that it is( Frosty Pink) these are big enough to cut, but they are not named, and one double white that is huge too that I purchased at a nursery it did not have a label.

I forgot to mention that it look beautiful and lucky you to have a bud.. I can hardly wait till mine do something. Antoinette

Root, I have been without my computer this past week and it didn't work right before. Hopefully the problems is solved. I was afraid I might have missed seeing your Maya bloom. Looking good. Good luck if you get to try pollinating. i hope to do some hybridizing this summer. Donna

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Thank you Thank you,Poppysue!!!!!
Right on time,I should have one open tonight.
Should I wait till tomorrow to pollinate?or is it best to get them as soon as they open?
I'm pretty excited, this will be my first time playing Bee!
Thanks again,Root.

Oh root!!! Im so excited to see this!! YAY! I feel like Im right there with you!

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

Is maja a better brug than p and c? is the bloom a better bloom? My P and c looked pitiful when it bloomed but it did wait till the fall LOL

Just one more (I am not trying to hijack your thread LOL) I was sireously thinking of scraping this one , and since everyone seems to love Maya, if it is a better cultivar, I might have to replace this one with it instead. Maybe i need to move it to the shade in the spring.

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

see how ugly this bloom is maybe it is just the heat and sun got to it. It turned ugly before it got any color. I think it needs more shade

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think it is an individual thing. I prefer Maya because it grew so much faster for me. My P&C took 18 months to bloom and it was only 18 inches tall. Give or take. Maya gets tall each year from a short cutting. Mine grows in full sun and gets along just fine.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Springsong,Hijack away,if you are putting up pics of Brugs and asking good questions, that is what this is all about.
Sorry I can not answer your question,I just got P&C this year, same with Maya and Snowbank.
I must say, this is a great smelling bloom!!!!!
Maybe it is because I am starved for blooms, but seriously, this has a great scent!I am trying to think of what it smells like.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks Gals,I should change title to Big Snarl on my face!
I am trying to figure out my MSN Mail.
I just lost everything in my MSN!!!!!!!!!
Every address and saved letter since I started Daves'.
I had to set up a new adrress,I changed it on my personal page here, but it seems to not be sending!
This is really getting my goat!
I now have to rebuild my address book,so if some of you see this, try hitting me through Daves, and include your mailing address.
I have to repot some plants, maybe that will calm me down, and I won't sit this computer out in the snow like an old eskimo!

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh the nerve of the thing......I would just go sit it in the snow and teach it a lesson......LOL
Hope you get it all strighted out. Same thing happened to me back in the fall, but not with MSN, computer just crashed...Lost every addy and e-mail I had....sighhhhh

..Dee

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

From time to time I will print out my address book just in case, but it is getting so full of names and addys now that it is a book once printed.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Alright CC!!!!!!!We must be on the same Bio cycle,Maya,VooDoos,Dang lets see if we can get you a Nana bloom too!!!!
I wish mine had the color yours does!!It looks great!
I had 2 blooms going,I got all my potting done, and was sitting down,I thought Now I can sit here and watch the second one open,NOT!,would you believe that sucker dropped off just as I looked at it....
Well at least I get to sit here and smell it.
If that VooDoo is going to smell according to size,I may have to move out!

Thumbnail by rootdoctor
Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Didn't someone say they only smell bad for a day? Maybe the brug smell will over power the dead chicken smell of the VooDoo bloom. Can't wait to see it open up though.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Great blooms, CC. Doc, I'm sorry you're having computer trouble, and I hope you got things straightened out. I'll send you an email to see if it's working:-)
