I have a few large seeds from some red grapefruit I purchased at Sam's Club. I would like to try and start them. Does anyone know if they may be fertile? or the best way to sprout them? Thanks in advance for your help.

"Rio Star" Red Grapefruit from Sam's Club
Hi Chain,
I haven't grown any for years but I did quite often during high school - too many moons ago. I put seeds on a plastic lid just covered with water. The ones that sprouted I planted. The largest one I had got to be about 4 ft. tall when I left home for college and someone managed to kill it. :( It was a number of years old by then and had a few tiny flowers on it the last year and I believe it has 3 small fruit. My guess is that still would work but perhaps someone else knows more about them! Have fun!
I had the same question about pomegranite. Do they grow from one you buy at the store as well?
I have some lemon growing from the store.
I just made a mini greenhouse out of a clear plastic sandwich container, threw in some dirt, lightly covered the seed with soil, gave it a bit of water, and taped that plastic puppy up, and put it in an area with indirect light. So far so good.
Cant hurt to try.
