We have a freeze warning again for tonight. I am afraid to go out and look at what happend last night.
It's sad, isn't it David? I'm not looking forward to a long couple of months now. We had been so lucky. Kell, I hope you don't get another freeze. Your poor babies might be weakened from the first one.
YOU had a freeze Kell? I didn't think that happened in your neck of the woods. Shirley your weather stinks.. You poor gal.

Geez Brugie, I guess I sound like a whiner complaining about temps in the 30s! And you get down to -2. I could never live there!!
Sadly Kristi we usually get at least one night of frost a year. Every 5 to 10 years we may get a few days of freezing which really plays havoc with all the tropicals planted in everyone's yards. They usually come back up from the roots when that happens.
I was out working on the greenhouse in shorts and t-shirt today. Just a little while ago it was below freezing every morning, and it looks like it is heading back that way again.
Today.Mon..Tue...Wed..Thu....Fri.....Sat

Brugie, how did you do your weather report? Mine wouldn't copy. It took me five previews to line up these numbers.
I like your way much better!
I just right clicked on it and saved it as a background. Mine comes up in a little block of it's own so there is nothing else there but what you see in my picture. I'll trade you for your weather.........LOL!!

I l.ive inland from Kell and we have been having nights down in the 20's on and off for several weeks now. Also alot of rain. Our day's have only been getting up to the low 50's. Today we had sun for a change, but it was still real cold outside. I sure know what you mean Kell. Even my brugs that are under my covered patio are showing signs of stress from the cold. I am starting to move them inside where my hoya's are.
It's been crazy here too. My silly fish in my water garden keep coming to the top. ( I tell them to get back to the bottom but do they listen?) But since we had a warm spell it thawed out my seed starter so I could start some seeds.
It's been raining here for two days. People keep calling the fire dept because of flooding in their basements =( and the roads are getting flooded, too. I'm lucky to live on top of a hill but others aren't so fortunate...
high of 77 on Friday
about 60 on Saturday
under 40 today (official high was 45, but that was at midnight last night)
supposed to be 33 for tomorrow and 36 on Tuesday
We're heading in the WRONG direction!
Brugie, doesn't this weather suck? Mine is about the same as yours. This up and down cold, then decent, then REALLY cold is bad, bad, bad for our animals. I have calves that have an annoying cough, and I know it's from the crazy weather changes. I've been giving them Aureomycin, but it doesn't clear it up. It's so maddening. Bad for the plants too, I know.
Mornin AnnaBanana, hope your calves get rid of the cough.
68º Friday,11º now.
Mystic, those fish needs to be put on restriction or something til they learn to listen!! Our weather is weird here too, only really warm the last few days. I actually have brugs and other things sprouting out, like it is spring, and I even have jasmine blooming. This is not good, cause we will have another freeze or two, and all will be gone again.
Anna- hope your calves get to feeling better. I bought my first car by bottle feeding and selling calves. I know how hard it is to keep them healthy in this type of weather. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
Root 11 F YUCK!!!!
We are to be down to 1 degrees on Wednesday, eat your heart out, all you Floridians, etc.
yes and you watch!!port clinton, or ottawa
that will be where my husband's dispatcher wants to send him. do you live close to there? Nope I was wrong he just called, back to chicago it will be I wonder will it be snowing up there?
Chicago had about 300 flights cancelled. Guess it isn't good there either. They got the storm that just came through here yesterday and dumped close to a foot of snow on us.
http://www.weather.com/outlook/homeandgarden/lawn/print/33907 We are a bit low on our highs here, but it's nice to be able to open the windows once in a while : )
That's it John! You should be banned from any discussion on weather. DAVE- help us out here, LOL.....
****ME SCREAMING and CRYING****
I'm SO JEALOUS of your forecast. I suppose I should be happy for you! BUT I just can't. My zone envy is getting in the way, LOL.......

Oooops....I forgot to mention that last Friday and Saturday it was 70 deg F
Friday, Saturday and Sunday it was 80 deg. with a low in the 60's. Today it is 43 deg. and is expected to go down to 33 tonight. Just a little over a week ago it got down to 27 deg. Must really be hard on the little brugs and brug cuttings, because even though I have mine on my covered patio up against the back of the house, when I uncovered them Friday, about half of them look as if they have kicked the bucket. I want to cry. Hopefully, I can get started early in the Spring this year, so they have time to root and grow before cold weather. Guess I got started too late this year. Sure hope there are some nice sharing people here this Spring. I certainly won't mind paying for them. I will just want to replace some of the really good varieties that I seem to have lost. boo hoo, boo hoo
Cold all over it seems, sure feels good to be inside,11º was the High,it is 6ºnow,with the full moon and clear sky,it will be really cold tomorrow.Time for a HOT shower!
