Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Thanks for sharing your lovely pink Brug. It is a gloomy day out today so I really enjoyed the lift they brought. I keep reminding myself that we are well on our way to Spring, but it is sure hard to wait.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone,Cheryl,I believe that one is Pink Frosty, and has a nice aroma, hibiscus, to it as well.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

I know frosty is old hat to most of yall but its still quite exotic looking to me.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

That is a beautiful Brug, Don.

It might actually be a B. Suaveolens hybrid or a B. Insignis hybrid because your tendrils are really long; whereas, B. Suaveolens "Frosty Pink" has short, stubby tendrils, like the picture below. Yours has a lovely skirt too with lots of drape.

It's gorgeous!

I'll have more Brugs to share with you this summer, thanks to DonnaB above! She sent me a bunch of cuttings which are rooting nicely. Thank you, Birdlady!

Hey, Don, show everyone your Brug cuttings picture! I thought that is a great idea, and now I have some of my cuttings in little cups!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Here are some cuttings that I have rooting, also thanks to Bonnie, Arlene, Mary, and Vickey!

Don, you can see the passiflora that you sent me on the right.

Here are some more of my cuttings which are outside. They seem to be rooting well even though temperatures are in the 40's at night, even dipping into the 30's around 7:00 a.m. They do have the partial protection of the plastic though.

Neat pictures, Don! Your cuttings look very healthy! You are more than welcome and thank you for the beautiful cuttings you sent. I can't wait for the Epiphyllums to flower and P. Lavender Lady too! This summer, we'll have to do it again.

What Brugmansia is that with the flower bud?

Hey Don, you should post that picture of the Passiflora with the huge leaves over at the Identities Forum to see if someone can I.D. it for you.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Tropicman, your brugs are so beautiful. Nice shots. Isn't it wonderful to have brugs in bloom in the GH. Donna

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Dr Suess,is the brug with the bud, ideneties forum will have to find it!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

I found it. You sent it to me in an email. Everybody, check out these leaves! I thought they are Brugmansia leaves, but Don said they are Passiflora leaves. Can anybody identify this Passiflora?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Holy Cow!! I didn't know there was a passiflora that even had big leaves. That is amazing.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Shirley, I didn't either. Aren't they amazing. There are some Brugmansia that have equally amazing huge leaves, but I can't find a picture right now of those.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I think its called passiflora Tica, need to do a search on it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hi ma Vie!!

So what kind of flower does it have? I am hoping a huge one! LOL

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Thanks MaVierose,
That was fast,it said one of 2 varieties that have large leaves over a meter long did find out the other one?
Thanks Clare for finding the picture, your an angel!

Sure, Don, no problem:-) I can't find anything on Passiflora Tica either other than it has white flowers. Do you have this one? If so, I think it must be pretty rare.

You should post a picture of your really, really long fingered Passiflora to see if someone can help you name it.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Don,
I found a picture of a P. Tica flower on Henk's Passiflora Web Site: http://www.hewo.nl/Thumbnails.html

Scroll down to the bottom under "Tica."

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

I also found your long-fingered Passiflora picture:

Don, maybe this is the other with long leaves http://www.brushwoodnursery.com/passiflora_coriacea.htm am just guessing.

banana passion fruit http://www.landcare.org.nz/biodiversity/pest_V.asp?PestID=1079

seed source http://members.aol.com/pasiflora1/ there are some rare passiflora in the list accdg to 'them'

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Don, where did you find that? It must be new or a newly discovered species?? It's not in my Vanderplank book and I don't see it in the PSI cultivar list.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Look at his zone Brugie, look at his zone!! wah hahahahahaha Those are some huge leaves!!! Your brugs are going to town too! Nice to meet ya!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It's amazing, isn't it Michele. You could have some of those big leaves at your place too. I can't imagine the work Don has to do to plant all of this and then dig it up again. I thought I had a lot to deal with, but I'm small potatoes here.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL I just realized he is in my zone!! Gee, I looked at Clare's before. Can you say blonde moment?? LOL

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Thanks clare for finding a picture of the flower, now I wonder how large the flower is to compared to the large leaves!LOL!
Clare ,glad you found the pic of the long finger passion leaf,I forgot where I filed it away!LOL
Thanks MaVierose, for locating the coriacea passino flower
I think might be it,will know if I can ever get it to flower, growing wildly now all over my sunroom,in all directions, tried several times and different ways to propagate it,and finally got one in water to set roots.
Poppysue,I got it in a trade,I think from Florida, can't be sure, made so many trades this year,my head was spinning!!
Badseed, yes I trade with a nice lady just outside Dayton in New Madison, maybe you have heard of this small town!I've got her growing tropicals just like me!LOL!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Oh, Don, I feel just terrible. Is the one you finally got to root the one you sent me? I'm so sorry I killed it. I think it was the lack of humidity in my house that did it in. I want to share this link with you because I'm doing it now for all my Brugmansia and Passiflora cuttings, and I think it really works.

Here's the thread: http://davesgarden.com/t/390195/

Don, I think I will have a P. Lady Margaret vine for you by springtime. I'm definitely getting some roots on my cutting. Maybe we can trade again for long-fingered Passiflora? Please, please, please! LOL!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Clare, read your link about the plastic sack method, seems like it might be better then the bucket method, going out to the sunroom and take some cuttings of the long finger leaf
passion vine and give it a try.I'll bet it is the bat leaf pasion vine, will know if I can ever get it to flower!!
