Christmas stress
Monika,
......Thanks for sharing your little 'Minka' with us. She is precious (-:
Shirley
awwww this is between your legs yeah? LOL she is just too cute.
She is such a pretty cat. I like them because their mouths always seem to be smiling, especially when they are sleeping like angels.
Showed this to Ed, he noticed the "smelly" sock, he said that's what puts them out every time. Ours used to put her nose right in his smelly shoe and zonk out

What a cutie, Minka... Where does the name Minka come from? It is such a pretty name. It looks like she really is resting peacefully. She reminds me so much of Katie, because she likes to sleep on her back at times also.
Frannie
Too cute!! Makes you want to rub her soft belly!
Great picture. Our kitten has been in hiding for a couple of days. She doesn't know what to do with all the extra people around.
Monika, this is a picture of one HAPPY CAT!!!!
She is so cute!
She really does have a beautiful face.
She certainly looks like she's feeling a lot better. She's adorable.
Now is that a laid back or what? Cute little kittie.
She sure looks comfy!
So sweet...You can tell she settled down for awhile....
Dee
That sounds familiar Kyle! LOL! But we wouldnt want to miss our kittens!
I know how she feels! She is so pretty Monika, don't you just love kitty's. Kyle we have your kitty's brother!
Gosh, JR is really growing. Is the JR for JR Ewing from Dallas? LOL!! He was kind of a stinker too.
She's a cutie Monika.
Kyle, what a cute kitten. His markings are so unusual. I just love cats!!
Tracey, there were two of the four kittens marked like this one. They others was a female. It found a home nearby.
I am glad, that JRs litter mates found good homes.
Who is the boss, Kyle? JR or you LOL! At our home, its definitely Minka. No matter what mischief she had been in, she sits and looks at him and Frank is melting like a snowball in the sun.
It is obvious that we all love our cats even though they all can be stinkers at times. Monika, Minka and Katie look so much alike. Kyle JR is so unusual looking and to think that Tracey has one that looks very similiar. Brugie, we need to see a picture of your new kitty.
Frannie, she won't sit still long enough to get a picture. Everything is suffering around here because of her. She thinks she is a bird and needs to sit on my shoulder. That's fine, but it is painful when she tries to get there. I've had to put tinfoil on the tops of all the flower pots (big ones) to keep her from playing in the soil. She doesn't use them as a litter pan, just plays. I think she likes to chase the perlite pieces. I'm tired just trying to figure out what she will do next. I thought cats were supposed to sleep a lot...this one sleeps very little, day or night.
Sounds like the years when we had little ones, needed constant watching. Hope the kitty grows up Shirl, before you wear out!
Shirley, kitties are like kids, always being after new adventures LOL! The only difference is, kittens will outgrow this phase faster. Even though, Minka still keeps us busy, she has calmed down. She is highly active in the morning and then goes to sleep the whole afternoon. She has become more careful with her claws and she learned, what a loud OUCH from us means.
But it is nice to see, how attached they can be. When Frank goes into a room and closes the door behind him, she sits down and waits patiently for him until he comes out again.
Shirley, she will settle down and start sleeping most all afternoon. I can't remember, but it is probably somewhere close to a year. I also think mine settled down more after she was spayed.
Frannie, do you think I will survive another 9 months of this? LOL! She does sleep in the afternoon and I think that might be why she is up during the night, attacking toes or anything else that might move. I usually have to shut her in the family room anywhere from 2 to 4 AM so I can sleep a few more hours. So far today she hasn't dumped any pots, but she did unplug the humidifier. This is the cat that ran up behind me and jumped on my butt. I guess I did say that she attacks anything that wiggles, but that should have scared her to death.
You are so funny......she sure sounds like a "pill".
LOL Shirley! I think you once sent me a cartoon about that. Don't get me laughing again.
Shirley, I can't stop laughing . . I sure would like to have had a picture of that. When she gets old enough you will find that you need to get her spayed or else you will hear howling all night when she comes into season and there will be no way to keep her quite. I am a light sleeper and there was no way I could contend with that. Kittens sure do like to jump on anything that moves, including your feed under the blanket . . lol
LOLOL Oh my gosh!! Shirley! That was too funny!!!
Here's my little Terror.. She too celebrated her 1st Christmas this year. A friend and I found her at Kim Son's which is a Asian Place to eat here in Houston. She was a very fortunate little one. Now my friend threatens to take her back if she doesn't stop attacking her in the middle of the night when she comes to visit.

LOL Shirley, that had to be a Kodak moment.
Lisa, she looks just like my daughter's male cat named MiniMe. However he would make about three of her. Beautiful green eyes and a coat to die for. Love those gray cats and yours is indeed a very lucky little lady. I hate to hear that at a year old she is still attacking in the middle of the night....not sure I can go through much more of that. Happy New Year Lisa!!
Shirley don't start worrying now. Ellen celebrated her 1st Christmas but she won't be a year old until late spring or early summer . . I can't remember. In person, she has dark stripes going thru the grey. You can see a little of it in her legs but it is hard to capture with a flash. She also has dark stripes going thru her tail and down both her sides. I sure am wondering what she will look like when she is grown.
Oh Shirley,I cant stop laughing!
How could you laugh at my pain? LOL!! Right now she is sleeping. Getting her energy built up to make my night miserable again. I have found that it is impossible to keep a cat awake when they want to sleep. I told my grandkids to keep her awake, but she hid from them and I know she slept all day only to torture me all night. I'm beginning to think she should be a mountain lion. Today she has been on the table, counter, bay window, backs of chairs, dresser, and bed. She has only dumped one flower pot today. That is an improvement. The squirt bottle of water does not scare her anymore. She dares me to shoot it at her and then she just washes. I'm soooo tired!! She may end up being an outside cat. I don't know which one of us will break first, but I'm betting it will be me.
LOL, poor Shirley! I should dig up the thread from when I asked the pet forum people how to deal with my daughter's cats coming to live with me. I think they had me walking around with balloons tied to my legs wearing aluminum foil. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it.
As soon as your kitty gets you properly trained all will be well. :~))))
