Anyone ever ordered brug plants from Parks Seed?

i got back and my cuttings were waiting for me. :D look good to me-- although some of them have this spotty moldy looking stuff on the end of the cutting. so i just cut this off (anyone know what this is from/ what it is?), and then planted about 2/3 and stuck the others in water just in case one way works better than the other. my whole family is like...you paid HOW much and are going to do WHAT with sticks?? haha, oh if they only knew. but...so far i havent seen any signs of life in any of them, minus a dr S. that had small leaves when it arrived. soooo...

just making sure im doin this right: i got new soil in 4" pots, ran the cuttings under lukewarm water, dipped in rooting hormone, and planted. watered lightly and have them in indirect light, some on heating surfaces, some not. any other tips? ive read eeeevverything on here about starting cuttings and all the links google could throw at me, but any specific modifications to help me?
