Hey flowernutt,
I'm getting worried. Have you talked to upstategardener? Should have arrived by now... Brenda

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

RR#4 arrived in GA today Friday 1/16. It's a three day weekend coming up, so it can't go anywhere until Tuesday 1/20. I should be able to get it going then.
Thanks,
Kris

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Just to add some entertainnent here, RR#2 seems to be ahead! Yeaaahhhhh! Even though I took a "vacation" up to New Jersey over Christmas. Go RR#2!

lol Definitly not to offend.

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Woohoooo Mobi that is great news. I guess just send it back to me since the other one is going now. Thanks for the update.

Plantnutz- Brenda I wouldn't worry about it just yet.
Their weather hasn't been real favorable as of late so give it more time. I have e-mailed her but have not heard back from her so we'll just wait a bit longer.

Pins- did you enjoy your vacation? did it feel like a vacation? LOL welcome back. Glad you made it home safe and sound.

Paintedlady- Kris thanks for the update, Have fun making decisions with the RR. LOL I'm sure there is a lot to look at by now.

Thanks for all the update!

Your welcome ZZ I'm glad you participated along with all the rest.

I'm so confused!
I was about to post that I had sent my package but the flowernutt thread that was on the first page in the forum didn't have a #4. I started to think maybe I didn't join the flowernutt robin, but if that was the case, what name was I looking for.
Anyway, finally found this thread buried on the second page and I like to report that
RR#4 was mailed today 1/20.

Denver, CO(Zone 6a)

What is with the mail lately? Please let me know when RR1 arrives so I don't worry.
Thanks,
Mobi

Central, AR(Zone 7b)

I received the box from Mobi on Tuesday and added 60 packs of seed and sent Wednesday--with an extra "little" gift to the remaining traders on our swap! This was fun and a sure pick me up on a very gloomy day! Thanks Tracy

Bedford (DFW), TX(Zone 8a)

RR#2 was mailed at the post office to Joe on Wed. Look for her to land in Sunny California soon
Cheers,

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

RR#4 arrived yesterday afternoon. I was overwhelmed at the sheer mass of seeds, the huge assortment to choose from!
Will mail out tomorrow (Saturday Jan 24).

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Has anyone heard from roshana on #5?

I've been busy. But had to check out the rest of the round robin while I had a few free(?) seconds.

RR#2 is kinda quiet.

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Hi all thanks for the updates. With all but one RR right now I believe it is just that snail mail creeping at a turtles pace. LOL I have e-mailed upstategardener without any reply back so I don't know what is happening with
Robin #3. If all else fails I will put together a package
and send it out to indymomj on Monday. Then we'll see what happens to the original. I'll watch through the weekend and if I hear nothing the new #3 will set sail Monday.

Mobi I got the Robin from you that was stuck at Teishas'.
Thanks so much for everything you did to ensure it's safe return home. Thank you for the extras it wasn't necessary but I do appreciate them and yes I will be planting everyone of them in my own gardens as I do not have any of them. Thank you!

Sheran I will be sending your surprise goodies that you were sending for everyone in the RR. Thanks so much for adding that extra touch. They really look provoking, very nice, job well done.
Edited to say The surprises from the RR will be mailed back to Sheran

On Jan. 14, ZZ mailed out #5 to me, in IL. but now on the 24th, it yet to arrived. Is 10 days too long a time to go from Oregon to IL? I wonder if there was a tracking number for it? Don't know, but when it arrives, I'll let you know.

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Rosh,
Usually 7 days from CA to Iowa. But Sbarr sent me seeds from New York that took over a month! And it was USPS Priority!

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Maybe I am jumping the gun here, but because I have not heard from upstategardener I do not know where the Robin is
so as I said I have a new package ready to go and am mailing it out tomorrow to the following people
indymomj.......IN
babsadventure.......WI
and then back to me.
Then I'll wait to see what happens with the original.
Just don't want anyone to miss out on the fun of exchanging seed with fellow and feline gardeners.

Thanks TLC. I have noticed that the mail is much slower now than during the holidays. VIP vacations I suppose.

Thanks for all your updates!

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Flowernutt,

This is the first time I've ever participated in a RR. It was really fun! I was wondering if, at the end, its ever posted what some of the beginning seeds were and what some of the ending seeds were. Also, the numbers might be interesting. I know I put in a gift for everyone down the line from me. I also put in extra seeds for the RR. Does that make sense what I'm asking? You wouldn't need to identify which RR it is, just interesting details you note.

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Think those numbers vary a lot with each RR. And she can't really know what each puts in and takes out along the way. It's all built on trusting everyone to do the right thing. But gardeners on Daves are so generous it should come out good.

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Oh, I know it will come out good. I was just curious. Please don't think I was in the least bit not trusting anyone. That never crossed my mind. We're all so diverse in what we grow it just seemed interesting.

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Hello,
First I want to say I sent a new package of seed out for
indymomj.......IN
babsadventure.......WI
I started with all of my own seeds plus seeds that came back from another RR. So hopefully there will be something of interest for these two. I did not count but figure there is about 80 seed packets.
Pins2006 interesting question you ask. I did count the number of packets I started with only because I wanted to make sure I had the same number of packets in each Robin as I had 8 of them going out there. The only one to make it's full journey came home with 60 packets and left with
40 so yes everyone was very generous. I also did make a list of that RR the seeds that came back only because the gal at the end of that RR had e-mailed me and said if I would e-mail her a list of seed from the RR she would pick from that rather that send it over to Canada and possibly not reach her or come back to me. So we have made arrangements to ensure it's prompt delivery to her with out any hang ups.
(hopefully) LOL
I have a fun little thing I plan to do for you all after all the robins make their journeys back home that will answer your question a little further. Until then I will leave you all in suspense.

TLC I have e-mailed gardenermaid and she will send the rr to you next and then you can send it to groovytee and then we will be back on track.

I guess it's wait for the mail now!

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Thanks,
I will be flying like the RR tomorrow!

Jacksonville, IL(Zone 5a)

#5 has still not arrived.

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Thanks for all the updates! Wow another Robin made it home today. The first of this group to make it full circle. What a great selection of seeds I might add.

Roshana - The Robin finally made it's way to your home. Thanks for letting us know. Check out her winter sowing
http://davesgarden.com/t/408901/ and scroll way to the bottom. Pretty niffty.

Babs - You will be getting two #3's as the second package made it to indymomj the same time the original package did. Enjoy I'll keep my eye to the sky.

west allis, WI(Zone 4b)

I sent out one pkg today,I think it was the replacement one.
But I'm leaving town on saturday for a week, and if it comes when I"m gone it'll have to wait till I come back........sorry about that and my apologizes

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Have a great time Babs! I don't think the seeds will be sprouting anytime soon. LOL

Jacksonville, IL(Zone 5a)

The fifth Robin has left the building. It's heading for Brenda in Oregon. But as I checked the list just now, I don't see her name after mine. Hmmmmmm did I send it to the wrong place? It's stuffed to the gills with seeds. I put the label on it that was on the label paper in the package. But I wondered at the time why it would go to OR then to IL (to me) and then back to OR. The person who's name is after mine is in OK. I should have checked this list better and before I sent it on I think. Let me know if I messed up.

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

RR#1 arrived here Saturday, 1/31/04

Carlisle, PA(Zone 6b)

Flowernut, next time you start a RR, let me know. I used to be pretty active in them and would like to try one now. Thanks. Buttoneer

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Uhoh roshana....wrong Brinda (Brenda) LOL Who is Brenda in OR? Is she a part of this RR?

Brinda :)

North Tonawanda, NY(Zone 3a)

Hi gang, just got the puter back from the shop late yesterday. What a long dry spell for me, LOL! RR# 4 arrived here on Thursday 1/29 and left via priority mail Saturday morning 1/31 to MollyMc. Confirmation # is 0303 2460 0002 0255 4963.

All I can say is WOW!! Big fat robin crammed with so many different seeds! Found stuff I've been wanting and things I've never tried before. MollyMc, you'll need to poke a scissor point into edge of taped side and cut across to open. This was so much fun! Thanks everyone and Flowernutt too for doing this.

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Just letting you know of RR #1 . . .
took out 24 packs and put back in 45.

We are expecting 8 - 12 inches tonight so I may not get to
the USPS tomorrow until someone scoops us out. Hopefully Tue I will get there. Will post on here when it leaves.
Box was decorated so cute.

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

I'm getting excited now, can hardly wait, any day now!!!!!

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

I can't imaging getting 8-12" of snow and it only delaying you one day getting to the post office! Here is Atlanta, we'd be shut in for a week unless the sun melted everything away. lol
