I have worms that I got from the co-op and Sandra gave me some of her own personal pets.
I had them in a plastic bin, holes in the bottom(and top of the sides)
When I thought it was getting too full in there,I prepared another bin, with holes on the bottom, placed it on top of the original bin,and waited for them to migrate up......
It didn't happen
Some of them went up into the new one,I left it there for 2 months, and the majority of worms were still in the original bin.
I started getting scared they would starve cause I hadn't placed any new food in the original bin for months, there was food in the new bin and the ones who migrated were munching away happily.
So I spent 8 hours separating the worms from the compost yesterday. There has got to be a better waaaaaaay!
Should I have put the new bin under the old one so they would dig down instead of up?
Worms are not migrating
