As some of you know my dog is handicapped. (Back legs no-workie) Well last night he started on his left front foot. Had it bloody before I knew it. He would not let my wife near it.
When I got to it I applied the med we have for problems like this. Wrapped it. Ten minutes later...no wrapping left. Re-wrapped it...this time much more so. At that point he settled down. However, to make sure he would not attack the wrapping in the night I slept next him and taped his paw to my hand. Good thing too! He woke me 5 times trying to tear it off.
First thing this morning off to the docs. It turns out he got some infection in it. Not sure how he got. I can only think I miss something. His back side gets a shower at least 3 times per day. Never thought to checking his front feet.
Anyway for the next good week it looks like he got only one good foot. What a @#$#%!! mess. This poor boy has been through so much....just not @#$%!@# fair.
The doc put a heavy med on the foot and 2X wrapped it. I added a shoe---see pic. LOL now he only licks the shoe! GOOD!!!
I've canceled all of my business meeting this week so I can be home with him 24/7
