How do you propagate it?I started some seeds last winter, grew them in the GH,put them outside for the summer, and NOW they are just starting to bloom. The plants are HUGE,had no clue,I clumped 6 together not know ing how big they get...big mistake.
So,can it be propigated from cuttings?I'm way not guna get seeds, but the plant is so big and healthy I figure even if I get one cutting to winter over I'll be all set....
and can they be used as a cut flower?

I always just grow new ones from seed and start them early. Windy and I are trying them from cuttings. I have not heard how her's are doing. Mine have not rotted, but last I looked, they had not rooted either. I will have to check on them. They have been in a pot of seed mix for about a month!
They make an excellent fresh cut flower. I have always done them from cuttings. They root very easily. You're right, just overwinter one or 2 and take cuttings from them later in spring.
What method do you use to root them Studley?
I went and checked mine. They look as fresh as the day I cut them but not a root in sight!!! Strange!
oh i love this plant so weird tall does anyone have any seeds trade for??
Me too....It's awesome.
I tried rooting some of my cuttings but they didn't make it........
Mine didn't do anything either. They just sat and sat and sat. They never wilted or anything but never rooted either. I left them outside for the winter. Oops. I was told they could come back from the roots and I didn't rip my plants out. We'll see. I did manage to collect a few dozen seeds but traded some of those out. If all goes well, I'll have seedlings to trade again.
I cut mine back and left the roots too,not having much hope with my temperatures
